(Alex)
The sound of skull crushing filled the room.
"Jesus Christ, you two!" Joseph screamed and covered his eyes. He was sitting by the kitchen bar while Ryes and I made the mess in the living room. We successfully managed to capture one of the active members working in the Westside port and now we get the information out of him.
I'd buy them another non stick pan. Last time when Carene used it on me, it sprung the idea to use it as a base weapon for a DIY torture at home, but at Ryes and Joseph's home. Ryes volunteered for it. I can't take it to my home because Carene might find out, she's smart enough to see things through. The warehouse is too far for the time being considering it was night time and I'm in no mood to drive that far.
"If any Professor or the guard comes by, I'm dead. My career? Gone. Your career? Gone. We? In jail. For the rest of our lives!" Joseph whined and soon after, Ryes hit another blow to the man's head, earning another scream from Joseph. "I think I'm falling sick." He gagged.
Just then, the door bell went off. The three of our heads shot up together.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, we're fucked, I'm fucked, I'm killing myself." Joseph went on muttering.
"Nobody's killing anyone." Ryes told him and stood up fully, holding the back of the chair and dragging it to Joseph's room.
"You're literally committing murder here, in front of me." The younger cried dramatically.
"Except him. No one else is dying." He added, unbothered by his younger brother's complaints.
"He won't die either, for now," I said taking the gloves off and pulling off the bloody plastic from the floor.
"Maniacs." Joseph said and creeped to the door to look through the peephole. "Oh- nevermind." He rolled his eyes and opened the door. "Lia. Blazekein. Have you seen the time, woman? I almost lost my shit." He grumbled and let her in.
The girl, Lia Blazekein, Michelle's younger sister, stepped inside quietly. She scanned the place with a small frown. We need to get rid of the smell of blood.
"Hello there." I greeted and smiled to be less suspicious. She turned to me and stared at me for a moment, then waved.
"Who is it-?" Ryes stepped out, cleaning his hands with a handkerchief. Thankfully, he wore a black shirt, the blood marks were hidden. His eyes immediately softened seeing the girl. She stepped closer to him and signed. She signed. Oh. She signed.
"Can't sleep?" Ryes asked in the most un-Ryes tone ever, and walked up to her. She nodded and signed again.
"What's wrong?" I asked Ryes and he glanced at me.
"Michelle's working so..." He nibbled on his lower lip, thinking. "Joseph can you go with he-"
"NO!" Joseph immediately screamed and Lia shook her head, aggressively. She signed again.
"Oh. Yeah right." Ryes nodded, agreeing with her about something.
"What did she say?" Joseph asked.
"She said you're an annoying idiot, who won't shut up, so she'd prefer you to not go with her." He answered casually, receiving a glare from Joseph right after.
"Well in that case, Ryes you can take your leave," I gave a pat to his back. "Joseph and I will handle the rest of the case."
"Why me-"
"He'll help me look through the rest of the files, he can do that at least." I cut Joseph off and turned to look at him with a tight smile.
"You either go with Lia or stay here with Alex. Choose." Ryes said but before Joseph could answer, Lia was already tugging on Ryes' shirt's sleeve. Joseph groaned and slumped his shoulders.
