The morning started with so much promise. Wooyoung had woken up next to San, their limbs tangled together in the soft glow of the early sun. They'd both been looking forward to spending the day together—just the two of them, no distractions. But that plan quickly unraveled when Wooyoung's phone buzzed incessantly with work notifications.

Wooyoung groaned, burying his face in the pillow as his phone continued to vibrate on the nightstand. "Why now?" he muttered.

San, still half-asleep, turned over and draped an arm lazily across Wooyoung's back. "Everything okay?"

Wooyoung sat up, rubbing his eyes as he glanced at the messages. "It's work. They need me in for an emergency meeting."

San's lips twisted into a frown, clearly disappointed, but he didn't push. "That sucks," he said, his voice soft.

"I know," Wooyoung replied, letting out a long sigh. He leaned over, kissing San's forehead. "I'll try to get back as soon as I can."

San nodded, though the disappointment in his eyes was clear. "Don't worry about it. I'll find something to do." Then his mood suddenly turned and he shot Wooyoung a mischievous smirk.

Wooyoung smiled, a little mystified about the smirk, but continued to get ready to leave.  He couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for abandoning their plans. He would have much rather spent the day with San, especially after everything that had happened yesterday. But work was work, and responsibilities had a way of intruding on the best-laid plans. He loved his job, and he understood that sometimes it could be inconvenient.

"See you later?" San asked as Wooyoung slipped on his jacket.

"Definitely." Wooyoung leaned in for one last kiss, lingering longer, submitting to a deeper kiss than he should have, before finally heading out the door.

The office was chaos. As soon as Wooyoung arrived, he was bombarded with questions, updates, and demands for his attention. He slipped into work mode almost immediately, but San was never far from his thoughts. He still felt a bit guilty for leaving him alone, especially after they'd made up from the previous day's tension. He found himself wondering what San might be doing while he was by himself.

By the time the emergency meeting started, Wooyoung had almost gotten into the groove—until his phone buzzed in his pocket. He discreetly pulled it out, expecting another work-related text, but what he saw made his heart skip a beat.

San: Miss you already...

Attached was a photo—San, lounging on the couch, shirtless, jeans low on his hips, with a teasing smirk on his face.

Wooyoung swallowed hard, his mouth suddenly dry. He quickly glanced around the room, making sure no one else could see his screen. His boss was droning on about numbers and reports, but Wooyoung was no longer paying attention.

Another buzz.

San: Just thinking about you... and last night.

The next message came with an emoji—one that made Wooyoung bite his lip to suppress a grin.

He quickly typed back under the table.

Wooyoung: You're going to get me in trouble. 💀

San: Oh? How so?  👿

Wooyoung could almost hear San's mischievous voice in his head as he shifted uncomfortably in his chair, doing his best to focus on the meeting. He now understood what that devilish smile has been before he'd left.

As another text arrived, this one with a photo of San's jeans unbuttoned just enough to drive Wooyoung crazy, Wooyoung's pulse quickened. This was going to be torture. He was suddenly highly motivated to get this work emergency handled. Then he could 'handle' San.
