Sanemi checked how he looked, making sure that he didn't wear toooo casual clothes, but not toooo formal. You readers must be wondering where he's going, right?
Well, a month after Sanemi joined Kimetsu Academy, he and Kanae became really good friends. Thr more they spend time with each other, the more awkward it became because, they were starting to fall for each other.
Kanae loved Sanemi's kind personality. Sure, he was tough, but at the same time, he had a good heart from the inside. She loved how much he cared about his siblings, or how come he would chase Tanjirou around the school whenever he saw him. She found that cute.
Sanemi never found Kanae annoying. In fact, he loved her kind personality and her adorable face. Kanae was always worried about others. Whenever Sanemi would get into fights with Douma, who's still somehow in the student council, he'd have some new scars. Douma may not be able to feel emotions, but he is strong, a bit more than Sanemi.
Kanae would have to use bandages every now and then. Sanemi would sometimes give a chuckle at her adorable worrisome face. He found that cute. He loved how come Kanae would stand up for other students, whether she knew them or not. He loved how much hard work she did.
They were starting to fall for each other. And... Y/N and Shinobu, who are now besties, noticed this.
"Hey, have you noticed Kochou's behaviour these days?" One gossip-type student asked.
"Yeah, Kochou Shinobu always has this scary grin on her whenever she sees Shinazugawa and her Kochou Kanae with each other... so scary!" The second gossip-type student said.
"She's so scary!"
"I know!"
The h/c girl noticed the two gossip-type students, and approached them. "Hey, here's something you guys don't know- gossiping is bad! You're very mean!" Y/N had a cute behaviour on her. Both of the gossip-type students laughed.
"You aren't in the student council!" Gossip-type student one said.
"Yeah- how are you gonna stop us from saying that Kochou Shinobu is scary! And Kochou Kanae and Shinazugawa Sanemi-" Gossip-type student two was cut by Tanjirou.
"You guys shouldn't gossip about others nor should you be so rude to L/N!" Tanjirou said.
"Sorry, Kamadou!" The two gossip students said at the same time, then leaving.
"Hey, are you okay?" Tanjirou asked, approaching Y/N.
"Yeah, I'm okay!" Y/N said. Tanjirou gave a smile. "You shouldn't bother yourself with such people, but it's nice knowing that you were standing up for others!" Y/N smiled back, and then hugged Tanjirou, who hugged her back.
