Percy's POV

The Elf kingdom is still filled with life even after what happened. I wish I could say the same for my kingdom, the goblin kingdom. The thought of the memory still hurts and makes me wince so I push it away and focus at the task at hand. I had gotten word from my spies that the queen has a special guest rumored to be the one blessed by the goddess. My right hand man, Oliver, delivered this personally to me and I trust his word as my loyal subject and friend.

The remaining few goblins who escaped capture from the evil bitch of a queen are spread about the realms, hidden in plain sight. It's one of the percs of being a goblin we can manipulate our appearance to blend in with our surroundings without risking our true identity. That what is helping me now as I move about in the elf kingdom. I changed the appearance of my ears to pointy ones, my armor to a simple commoner attire and the red color of my kingdom to green for the elf and my eyes to a darker shade to reduced attention. Plus it helps that most think we were all killed during the war, wiping us out of existence but we're still there hidden in the shadows.

I am responsible for the well being of the remaining goblins as their crown price in abcense of King Roderick, my father. He was taken captive along with the others he sent me away with one of his army generals, Oliver's father, who has raised and trained me since then. I was 7 years old and the only heir to the throne so my safety was his greatest priority. Even when he left he handed me to his sword, the royal sword an heirloom passed down for seven generations, saying that I will be a great ruler some day that was the last time I saw him. Then he left me with his general who I came to know to be Gerald, who took me to his home where I met Oliver and his mother and little sister Addie.

Though I was a kid, I never shed a single tear the whole time. From the look on Leonor's face, Oliver's mom, she had no idea of my company and was also worried for our safety though she tried to hide it by giving me a warm smile but I had a knack for interpreting emotions and concealing mine. "Oh, come here dear you must be scared." she said pulling me in for a hug and I let her . With one sceptical look at her husband they led us into something like a tunnel underneath a rug in the middle of the kitchen.

"Okay kids stay close to your mom." he led us down the tunnel and bolted it shut behind us. Leonor used her magic to create light in one of her palm and Addie cling to her other arm. She was a light bender. Goblins have common abilities such as image manipulation and enhanced senses but each has a unique power which belongs only to them and is linked to their personality. The powers manifest on one's 16th birthday or later in some cases. The generals power was metal bending which came in handy in combat earning him rank in the royal army.

"Hi I'm Oliver. You don't have to introduce yourself I know you are prince Percy and that's my little sister Adeline."he whispered to me as we walked through the tunnel. I wasn't good with socializing so I just gave him a nod. He had brown chocolate eyes like his mother, black curly hair and dark skin. He said he was the same age as me but Adeline was a year old. She kept staring at me every once in a while. Adeline had her father's bright haezal eyes, same black curly hair as her brother and brown skin. She looked so innocent in her mother's arms oblivious to what was going on.

We kept walking through in fast pace. Even below I could hear the battle taking place above explosions, people screaming, clashing of swords and muffled voice. I tried to concentrate on the voices to try if I could hear my father's but I didn't. We reached the end of the tunnel which emerged at the top of the hill overlooking the kingdom. We turned to look at my kingdom my home and I was horrified. "Dear Ivander, have mercy on us!"Leanor said from behind me and pulled me and Oliver closer to her. The whole place was on fire and buildings were destroyed trolls had invaded and were tearing the kingdom upside down. "Gerald help me get the kids into the carriage they shouldn't have to see this." She gave Addie to him and while she held my arm in one of hers and Oliver in another and led us into the carriage.

The carriage was being driven by one of the horsemen I recognized used to work in the royal stables and gave me ridding lessons. We settled in and took of hopefully the carriage was cloaked so we could not be tracked on sight or sound. Adeline was peacefully sleeping in her father's arms and Leanor held me and Oliver tuck us in her arms like I was one of her own.

"I pray Ivander helps us get through this."Gerald just nodded to her words. Ivander is the god of night and darkness, our source of power. It is said that goblins draw powers blessed by the god from him. He had three other siblings;his twin Evander god of day and light and Nyx goddess of the moon. They are believed to have started our current realms with Ivander as the father of the goblins, Evander the father of elves and Nyx the mother of the witches. The humans were never God made but just came into existence weak and powerless. They are a disgrace to nature. But they have advanced technology than all the other realms.

We arrived at a cottage at the seaside far away from home. I understood that there was no going back at least not so soon. Ever since then I lost the only family I had but I was given another in return. Gerald adopted me into his family like a son. I grew up with Oliver and Adeline as my siblings and Leanor as a mother I never had. They taught us our tradition so that it is not lost and how to fight like warriors to defend our loved ones and what is left of our realm. All this by staying away from the eyes of danger by remaining in hiding. We had to sacrifice our freedom for safety but I swore on my father's sword that I would find a way to put an end to our suffering even if it was the last thing I do.
