Chapter 19

Wednesday finally makes it up to Xavier's dorm. As she quite literally smashes through the door she notices it's dead silent. Nobody in sight. The girl then walks around the dorm looking for any sort of clues, she walks over to the scattered items on Xavier's desk.

A dagger? Seemingly the one that was impaling thing in the picture sent to her by the stalker. She was so close. Yet so far, she still needed to find him.

"WENS! Oh my god girl do not run away like that.." Yoko said breathless from running up and down the halls in search of the small goth girl.

"Where is he."

"How the hell should I know!" Yoko shrugged and started looking around the room.

"Wait isnt that the uh-"

"Dagger. Yes. Precisely the same one used on the attempted murder of thing." Yoko and Divina exchanged weird looks and then looked back at Wednesday, standing before them with anger in her face.
"On Xavier's desk.." Yoko trailed off not knowing what to say. "Listen we can just talk about it-"

Before she knew it Wednesday was already out of the room and walking back to the girls dormitories.

Wednesdays pov:

"I finally made it." I thought to myself as I walked up to my dorm room pulling my keys out to unlock the door. However as soon as my keys jingle, the door is swung open and there stands Enid. With a not so pleasant look on her face.

"Wednesday!" She leaps at me with her arms open, forcefully pulling me into hug. Surprisingly, I don't pull away, nor do I hug back. "God Yoko told me everything I thought you got hurt." The girl started rambling dramatically, after letting me into the dorm.

I immediately sit down by my desk, where I am met with Thing. Though he is still recovering he wiggles his fingers at me saying hello.

"Hello thing."
I said quietly, still feeling guilty that I let that happen to him. He then slips his way into the desk where he's been "sleeping" for the past week, do hands sleep? I am not so sure.

"Wednesday, I wanted to talk to you.." I hear from the other side of the room, I turn my chair now facing Enid's side of the bedroom, nodding for her to continue. This could be one of many things,

One: She may ask questions about my phone ringing so much. About the stalker, that I may not tell her only Yoko knows now.

Two: She may ramble on about how she was worried about my safety. Seriously who thinks they can hurt me and walk away uninjured.

Three: All the times we've been so close to kissing. I have been thinking about it for a while. I'm getting so close, yet so far. God what are you thinking Wednesday! You imbecile she likes Ajax.

"Hellloooo earth to Wednesdayyyy"

"My apologies, I'm just-"

"Worried? Seriously you have to tell me now who's been sending you all of those weird pictures! I mean it CANT be Tyler because you blocked his number after everything, it can't be Yoko because she's literally you're friend, although you won't admit it for the life of you, it can't be me obvious-"

"Enid."
I raised my voice to stop the girls ranting, "I cannot tell you that."
"WHAT? Why?" Her voice softened up and she tilted her head giving me a curious look, although I wasn't directly looking back at her, I could feel her blue eyes piercing into me, awaiting an answer of some sorts. "It's- I- listen Enid I cannot tell you. For your own safety.
"But you told Yoko." She replied her voice sounding harsher than before "what are you-"
"You told her. Because now all she does is talk about you and everything you guys have been doing together. How you're her "best friend."

What was she talking about? Yoko is merely an acquaintance, someone I've come to tolerate and only because Enid tolerates her as well. Although, I have been telling the vampire almost everything that goes on in my head, I fear that some things I can tell her, I can't tell Enid. I won't get the same reaction. But why does she care so much? It's not like we-

"Now you're ignoring me?" She scoffs
"Honestly I can't fucking believe you. You want to be with her? Then so be it." The girl slips her shoes on swiftly before walking to the door

"Sinclair listen I-" but before I could speak, she storms out, slamming the door behind her.
What is her problem? I thought to myself, I mean why would she be so jealous of my other "friend" I don't understand it's not like I belong to her,
I wish I did
Shut up Wednesday, you're an idiot.
But maybe, maybe if I come to accept that I like her, that I love her, maybe it won't hurt so much.

*ding*
I hear from my side of the dorm. The stalker. What would they want? Who are they? Why are they doing this? Thoughts begin racing in my head, making me feel overwhelmed. My breath starts to get heavier and my vision is blurry. I reach out to Grab something as I stumble forward over my own two feet. A nightstand, I trail my hand across and find the big glass window split into colored glass and the cleaner side. "Why is this happening?" I said, my voice cracking as my throat starts to sting and tears fall.
"Why?"

No one's pov:
So now, Enid is in Divina's dorm, Wednesday in theirs, crying and feeling overwhelmed.
"I just can't believe this like, shes supposed to be my best friend like ugh."
"Yeah but don't you think you mayyy have overreacted? Like just a tiny bit maybe.."
Divina said, pulling Enid's hands into hers to see her new manicure she had done.
"Ta-da!" She said softly looking at Enid's nails.
"I did. I don't know why I did that honestly I guess I was just really upset." "Yeah duh? But why?"
"I was jealous."
"What? You mean like because theyre friends? Girl bye-"

"No. I was jealous because Wednesday gave me no attention. It was always Yoko Yoko Yoko. It's not because of the friendship, it's because of something else, I got jealous because she wasn't talking to me as much, even though we literally live together but then again she has so much going on with Thing and and all these other things and apparently Tyler is back but I don't get it because I'd make time for her and ever since we almost kissed 2 times shes been distant and I don't wanna lose her because I-"

"You like her!"

"What? N-no I don't.. I don't know what-"

"YOU LIKE HER! That's why you've been acting all weird since the kiss thing, that's why you're jealous!"
