Mysha

God, what on earth is happening?

I lean towards the large screen in front of me. Through this, I can view the entire CCTV camera recording. I don't know if this old building is Derek's covert investigation site or something else. He installed cameras across this structure. I'm in a room where CCTV cameras provide complete access.

I turn up the volume on my headphones so I can hear their talk.

Derek has no idea that I am here at all.

Derek slammed Eiran's head into the wall, as I can see on the screen
My eyes closed at that. Eiran appears to be so giving in. I see sorrow and pain in his eyes. When Derek hit his head against the wall, he didn't bat an eyelid.

I inhaled deeply to help me relax. Something inside of me caused me to feel sorry for Eiran.

Derek seems like he's ready to exact payback. I looked into the situation. I discovered that Derek's desire for vengeance is what drives him. The murders of Gigi and Riggs don't concern him. His purpose in finding proof against Eiran to manipulate me. Not that the evidence is all wrong, mind you. But rather than acting in Gigi's best interests, he did it out of self-interest.

Subsequently, I sense that his motivation was retaliation. Edward murdered Derek's mother and father. Derek's father accidently crashed his car into Eiran's mother's car, which is why Edward killed Derek's parents. Edward killed them in the rage to exact retribution.

Edward was different after that day. He is utterly devoted to his wife, but sadly, she is no longer with him. On the other hand, when Derek grew older, Edward's retaliation stole everything from him. Derek, in my perspective, also made the decision to steal everything from Edward. He first made the decision to remove me from Eiran in order to obtain proof against him. Second, as Edward's only remaining possession is Eiran, Derek must choose to take it from him.

Goddamn. I'm stuck in their family affairs.

My gaze jerked over to the display. Derek takes out the knife from his hood. On Eiran's shoulder, he sank the knife. My eyes widened. I can feel agony in my chest and my heart miss a beat at this scene.

I believe things are spiraling out of control. I made the decision to give my investigation team a call. During the call, my voice is really unsteady. I'm terrified of what would happen if he did something with Eiran. It is too much for me.

My team will come in a matter of minutes. Inhaling deeply, I did so. I know I should remain composed, but it's really hard when my man is dying right in front of me.

Derek starts to drive the knife deeper into Eiran's shoulder.

I can't just wait for my team to get here. I have to take action. He can not pass away in front of me.

I turned off my headphones and left the room. I head downstairs. My steps are rapid and forceful.

I suddenly looked at Derek. I then saw Eiran after that. All defenseless and capitulated. A bruise on his head is making it difficult for him to control himself. At this scene, my heart tightened.

"Stop it!" I growled. This old building resonated with my voice.

"Mysha.." Derek looked straight at me. He wasn't expecting me here, even though he's not aware that I'm here. His expression shows a hint of surprise.

"Stop it. Right. Now." My voice is harsh and forceful. In the meantime, I'm a little unsteady, but I try to disguise it under my cool façade.

At what I had just stated, Derek laughed. He laughs in a wicked and dark way. He is so determined to exact retribution that he is not thinking about it subconsciously.
