Catherine enrolled in a Baking 101 class at the Chicago Culinary Academy. It was filled with the sweet aroma of fresh baked pastries  and baked bread. She is surrounded by other students and all are focused on their tasks. Catherine was eager and looking forward to Baking 101 class!

As Baking 101 class progressed, Catherine learned about the different types of flour, proper kneading techniques, and the art of proofing dough. She discovered the secrets of creating the perfect flaky pastry, and the delicate balance of the flavors in a cake. Catherine had the most challenging assignment of baking a loaf of banana bread. Then Catherine baked the bread in the oven. Each time she carefully checked and scored the top with a sharp knife. She watched the bread rise in the oven. The bread was finally done. She sliced into it! The crust is golden brown and crispy; and inside the bread was light and airy. She took a bite and was amazed by the flavor. She was very happy and elated! This was the best bread she has ever tasted! "Excellent job in baking that bread, looks delicious." Arielle said. Catherine smiled and that was the nicest thing she told her. "Yeah, you worked so hard, you should be very proud of yourself." Sophie chimed in. "Thank you so much guys, your support means a lot to me." Catherine said. As Catherine continued her baking journey, she felt a sense of accomplishment. She mastered new techniques and discovered a new passion. She knew her baking skills will help her prepare for her internship.
