Kamini smiled cunningly seeing Shravan. He was going into his room completely lost in his thoughts. Sumo was looking down at her laptop showing pictures of the venue to Kamini. They both didn't notice each other until Kamini made them look at each other.

"Lo, Shravan puttar bhi aa gaya, usko bhi dikha dete hain hamari Sumo ne kya kya arrange kiya hai."
Kamini said with disinterest as she wasn't happy with her work. She was right now focused on her plan to get Shravan and Sumo together to piss off Ramnath.

As soon as Shravan saw Sumo, the entire day got better. But Sumo felt stuck as to how she would avoid him anymore. She had come to his house after checking that he wouldn't going to be there.

Shravan didn't say anything, came and sat near her, pretending to be interested in the arrangements but focusing more on her. Kamini went to get snacks for them to let them be together so that Ramnath could see. As Shravan was looking, he found the arrangements impressive and appreciated them honestly. Sumo felt very happy and relieved that her work didn't go in vain as she was expecting.

Their conversation circled around the wedding, mostly after Kamini asked someone to serve them and went to Vandy to ask about Ramnath's whereabouts so that he could catch them together. Ramnath wasn't at home and neither was he picking up the call.

Soon after finishing up Sumo got up to leave to avoid further conversation with Shravan. In hurry, she bumped into househelp making the tray and glasses fall.

"Oh. I'm so sorry kaka, maine dekha nahi."
She said as she sat down to clean the mess.

"Hum bhi Sorry Suman beta. Tum rahne do hum kar lenge."
Kaka, who was fond of her, said.

"Haan Sumo tum rahne do, tumhe chhot lag jaayegi."
Shravan said worrying.

"Nahi, main help karti hoon na."
She said looking at Kaka and they all sighed knowing she won't listen. Shravan came to help seeing her stubbornness.

They cleaned the mess and Kaka went to throw that all. Unaware of the fact that a glass piece was left hidden from their sight, Sumo stepped over that still being in hurry to avoid, of course, Shravan.
She screamed in pain as the glass piece pierced into her foot through the slippers.

"Ahhhhhhhh"

"Sumo? Sumo, shit! Are you okay? Ye glass...ye glass ka tukda kaise reh gaya?"
He quickly came to her rescue with concern visible in his eyes. It had started bleeding so he quickly placed his hankerchief over her foot after making her sit.

"Mujhe kya pata kaise reh gaya."
Sumo replied angrily still screaming in pain.

"Ruko, I'll bring the first aid. Or no, instead, let me take you in my room."
He said and picked her up in bridal style even though she protested and carried her to his room.

He was done with bandaging her while she sat quietly.
After he was done he put the box on place and asked if she was feeling okay now.

"Are you feeling better?"

"What better yaar! Kal engagement hai, itna saara kaam hai mujhe aur ye sab..."
She said with seriousness and worries.

Shravan knew about her responsibilities that how almost everything is dependent on her.

"Main hoon na, tum bas order karna, I'll handle everything!"
He said making her look at him in surprise and also in delight.

She just smiled thinking that he is just saying that out of formality and will forget everything in the morning. She tried getting up from bed to head home.

"Arey arey, kya kar rahi ho? Take rest!"

"As if! Mujhe ghar jaana hai, there is too much work."

"Tum aise kaam bhi nahi kar paogi, aaj raat yahin reh jao."

"What? Are you mad? Main wahan nahi jaaungi toh sab kaise hoga?"

She was right but so was he. After many attempts he had to give up and he decided to drop her home.

She was unable to walk properly so he picked her up again through the stairs.
Ramnath entered and saw him carrying her down and was fumed with anger. Kamini witnessed it and celebrated in mind.

"Shravan! Ye...Sumo ko kya hua? Why are you carrying her?"
He asked with fake concern. Shravan put her down making Sumo feel relaxed after Ramnath's entry.

Lalaji, Pushkar arrived and asked what happened. Shravan now could understand the difference between fake and real concern.
He told everyone what happened to which they called the househelp to scold him. But Sumo intervened and said that it was not his mistake.
While all this was happening nobody was realizing how hard it was to stand for her. Shravan realized and quickly grabbed a chair for her.

"Theek hai ab jo ho gaya wo ho gaya. Pushkar jao, Sumo ko ghar drop kar do."
Ramnath said.

"Ji sir."

"Ruk chotte, Papa main jaa raha hoon Sumo ko drop karne."

"Pushkar chala jaayega, tum aao meri ek case mein help kardo, it's urgent"

"Papa, let me go, wo chal nahi paa rahi hai."

"Nahi Shravan, I'll manage. Chal Pushkar"
Sumo said as Ramnath looked at her after Shravan's intervention.

Pushkar helped her and they both went.
