Eliza hated being alone.

Her whole life was full of watching Mom and Dad leaving when she was 5. "We're going away honey; we're going...to a new life...But Aunt Sue and Uncle Dave will take care of you...And Daddy will see you on weekends; Mommy will see you when she's not in charge of being CEO of a major airline"...Eliza knew this was a massive betrayal, but she did as she was told...The woods were not only scary-but she heard a lot of things about other woods. She heard about Elspeth, The Woodsgirl, who sacrificed people to the demon in the oak trees in The Dainain Woods. Who was so evil that her parents shivered every time they told her the true story of her. She shivered. Noone was really sacrificed in the woods...Or were they? She remembered her Mom having a book on her brown colored bureau in her bedroom. It was called "The Woods are dark" by the late horror author Richard Laymon. It was a 1981 horror novel about people who were also sacrificed to The Killing Trees in the woods. It was Mom's favorite book. It scared her.

"Raz, what's going on, you dickhead?", Eliza asked. She moved around. The woods had a power in them. Birch trees hit her face. She had some minor cuts on her face. "Shit, I'm bleeding!", she thought to herself.  She then saw a grille under a pile of dirt that was in the middle of the woods. What's a grille doing in the middle of the woods? She moved closer...closer...closer...closer...

And, as she reached the entrance to the weird grille, she looked downwards...and screamed as hellish, demonic claws raked her face...as hellish snorting of a pig was heard. But it wasn't a normal pig sound; it was a satanic sound. And then the grille moved again. Hot steam burst forth...And then a demon that was trapped inside, was now free. And, when it saw Eliza, it grabbed the terrified girl...and then possessed her in the middle of the woods...while Raz was still nowhere to be seen to save her.
