Natalie's POV :

One week passed really fast.

Ethan's Mother Eleanor visited my house twice. And I was allowed by my father to go out with her.

Sge took me for my dress shopping and I said yes to a dress she chose for me.

She definitely is very excited about wedding.

I still don't understand why Sterlings would spend this kind of money only to get a girl like me?

I was a simple girl. But I still would not understand however deep I tried to think or relate. It just didn't make any sense.

Laura had sent five professionals for making me ready. And I was sitting in front of the mirror, looking at myself. While they making me ready for the marriage ahead.

I was almost ready and they were doing my hair. When they were done I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked pretty.

I always thought that my marriage will be with a person I loved  and it will be the most happy day of my life, but here I was, crying and sobbing in my room.

I could not even tell my best friend about my marriage. I felt dead inside.

Suddenly the door to my room opened and It was my aunt Stacy. She was my mom's sister.

"You looked so lovely" She said with teary eyes.

"Just like your mother" She continued.

I smiled.

I knew she too could not do anything to stop this wedding. She loved me but she too was dependent on my father. Her husband died few years and back and he too was broke.

She was a employee at one my dad's retail outlets. But she was the one who took care of me when mom died.

My father was too drunk to look after me and then there was his new wife Laura.

"You would be happy in this marriage" ,my aunt said this time.

I said nothing in reply.

"Your mother saved Eleanor Sterling when was pregnant with Ethan" She replied.

"Really?" I have heard that for the first time.

"She and Ethan's mother became friends", my aunt replied.

"Harrison Sterling begged almost every best doctor to save his wife and unborn child in the states, and your mother gave him hope" My aunt continued.

I looked at her trying to process this.

"It is his way of returning the favour of your mother", she said this time.

I was irked.

"So his way of helping me was forcing me into marriage with his Son?", I shouted back.

"Sterlings have not forced this marriage, they have saved you something worse" She said softly coming closer to me.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"Your father and Laura and were looking a for good paycheck by getting you married to some rich old asshole" She said and showed me a picture.

"William Black , 60 , had two wives before one died and one he divorced when he found her unattractive". She said.

My eyes opened wide with surprise.

"He offered 25 million" She said this time.

"And Sterlings offered twice for saving me? " I asked her in disbelief.
