⭐️Chapter 3: Your Brother is WHO?!💧

You would start to open your eyes, a bit groggy from your short nap. You sat up as you rubbed your eyes you noticed your fox plush was underneath you to be used as a cushion. You notice as everyone had arrived at the final area. The place was a foggy forest or swamp area. Seeing as Satotz had stopped walking, this seemed to be the end of the first phase

You noticed a familiar face in the crowd, you picked up the plush, dragging it slightly towards you before standing by the blonde male.

"Hi Hi Kura-Oniisan!" You grinned towards your friend who looked down at you. He smiled a bit and gently pats your head before speaking to you.

"Hello Y/n. I see you slept well." He told her softly, which you nodded a bit.
"I'm all rested!" You grin towards him before looking at Leorio who was catching his breath from running. "Is this our destination?" Kurapika wondered a bit before glancing around the area to see if there were any hints of the next stage.

Soon Gon started to approach the group and he smiled towards them. "Mr Satotz told Killua and I that we still have some time before we actually get there." He glances into the fog.

"Ah.. I see.."Kurapika's eyes followed Gon's as he could see the fog slowly fading away. "The fog its... disapearing." He comments before Gon squinted his eyes a bit. There was still a large amount of fog, but atleast it lessened a enough for the group to be able to see.

"The Nemere Wetland, Also known as swindlers Swamp" Satotz finally spoke to the group before he started to explain more on why there was nothing else around them. "We must cross theses wetlands to reach Phase Two of the exam. This is a place home to many bizarre animals, many of them being cunning insatiable creatures who deceive humans and prey upon them. Be very Careful."

Your ears perked up a bit. Animals? Animals?! You were excited now! You could finally be able to see more cute and cuddly animals that you could show off to your brother! He couldn't stop you from petting one or two of the animals. You may not have noticed, but at the mention of animals, your brother made sure that his nen was properly attached to your back.

"If you let them fool you... You're Dead." That was Satotz's statement. He was ensuring that they knew that the moment they looked away from him, got lost or will be fooled. Everyone would be dead.

The group grew tense at the idea of it, with the doors now shut behind them, they had no other way to go but to continue and finish this heck of an exam. They knew what they were getting into when they joined.

"These Wetland creatures will use every trick in the book to fool his prey. They will go after you as you are seen as food to them."

"What a joke! How can they fool us when we're expecting it" Leorio commented towards his friends. He couldn't think on how anyone could be fooled by that especially after what Satoz told them.

"Don't let them fool you!" A sudden yell came out from behind the group, grabbing the attention of pretty much every applicant. "I just said that they can't-" Leorio stopped speaking before seeing a horribly injured man.

"D-dont fall for it..." He moved closed, his hand behind him, seemingly holding something hidden from the group of applicants. He pointed at Mr Satotz. "He is an Impostor!"

Most of the crowd would gasp as they look towards the man who they thought was their examiner. 'Mr Satotz' didn't seem to react any way towards the yelling male who was pulling out a creature who looked half ape with the same face as the moustached man in front of the group.

You didn't pay too much attention as you held your fox plush close to you. You smile a bit at it before a sudden movement came from behind you, moving fast before you see as Mr Satotz held a few cards in his hand. You hear a noise before a thud noise came out. You glance over to see the injured male laying onto the ground. He didn't move at all before the ape like creature ran off, leaving the corpse behind.

"I see. I see~" Your brother spoke as he shuffled a deck of cards in his hand. He looked up and smiles towards Mr Satotz."That settles it, you're the real one..."

"The examiner's are hunters selected by the committee to preform this duty without pay. Any hunter, bearing the title we seek, would have been able to block that attack." Satotz let go of the cards once Hisoka finished his explanation and looks towards him.

"I shall take that as a compliment. However if you decide to attack me again, for any reason, you will be disqualified."

Hisoka just smiled and nodded a bit before you started to walk up to him. Your arms held your plush close to you before your cheeks puffed up a bit - as if you were a chipmunk.

"Bad!" That caught the attention of your friends and some other applicants. The first to properly realize the situation that could happen was Kurapika. You - a 5 year old child - were speaking to a guy who killed a total of 2 people in this exam so far.

"Y/n-" He would step forward towards you.

"Hiso is a big baddie. You promised!" You continued to yell at your brother a bit, who smiled a bit at your antics.

"Of course Y/n. I had to."
"No I'm mad at you Onii-chan! No hugs anymore!"
"Aww~" Hisoka would 'pout' towards your punishment to him.

That is when it hit Kurapika. Your brother. The one they were looking for. Was that Killer. It took him a while to try and accept that this innocent, cute and sweet child was related to a literal killer.

As birds flock towards the dead corpse, your eyes were covered up by your older brother before everyone started to head out towards the second part of the 1st phase.

Time for you to find more animals to pet! [And not die]
