When Caitlyn arrived back at the event, she found Jayce at one of the large tables and basically threw his keys at him."Cait? What the hell?" He picked them up confused.
She ignored him and walked away.
He immediately got up and followed her seeing her go back outside.
"What is your problem? I give you my truck and this is how you thank me?"
She stopped in her tracks and turned around seething. She walked up to him and pushed him.
"You turned her away!" She yelled, her tears falling back.
"What are you talking about?" He said genuinely confused.
Who the fucks surprised.
"Fucking Violet!" She yelled again.
"That's where you went? Seriously Caitlyn? What the hells wrong with you?" He sounded like he was losing his patience quickly.
"Answer me Jayce." Tears stained her cheeks as she clenched a fist at her side.
"Look, I just told her to stop staring at you. You're fucking engaged Caitlyn. She was staring at you! I had to say something."
She moved her hair to the side and started waving her hands gently. "Wait, wait, wait." She laughed. But it wasn't a funny laugh, she laughed out of pure anger and exasperation. "You talked to her tonight too?"
"Huh? Is that not what you're referring to?"
"I'm talking about when she tried to come back YEARS ago Jayce. When she first broke up with me. She said you practically slammed the door in her face?" She scowled.
He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Oh...that."
"Yeah. That."
"Cait,"
"No, don't fucking 'Cait' me. What happened."
"She was dangerous! She nearly killed that girl! In front of you!"
"And that was my fault!" She started to choke out her sobs.
"No, it wasn't." He reassured her genuinely concerned and maybe guilt.
"It was. I made out with that girl. Over one fucking argument." She ran her fingers through her silky midnight blue hair.
"And she nearly killed her, Cait." He said gently.
"The point is, you had no fucking right to do that. I get you were trying to help, but if it weren't for you, I'd still be with her. I loved her Jayce. And you knew how much my heart ached for her."
"Cait.."
"No. I need to find Irelia." She stormed off back to the party.

On their one year anniversary, Vi had a pep in her step walking through the hallway, stopping at her girlfriends locker.
Caitlyn didn't notice her until she closed her locker.
"Hey gorgeous." Vi said with a wide, charming smile.
Caitlyn yelped startled, nearly dropping her books.
"Jesus, Violet!" She caught her breath.
Vi let out a chuckle before kissing her cheek "Sorry."
Caitlyn, as much as she tried, she couldn't stay mad at Vi for long. Especially with those beautiful eyes and charming smile.
