Circe Saga

Don't blame me for being lazy, I'm tired as I'm making this so I'll just edit it later if there are any errors after I'm done with the book or at least halfway through!

Y/Ns POV:

We finally landed on Circes island, with me finding a dear and catching it only for it to start following me after I figured out it had babies. There were two littler ones.

All three of them were just following me and I couldn't do anything no matter how hard I try they don't ever go away!

" It seems you have three friends on your tail, Little Fish. " Poseidon said with that god awful nickname that I both hated and loved at the same time due to my fangirl but also stubborn nature.

" Shut up, and I've told you not to call me that. " I said slightly irritated, and he could clearly tell though that shit eating smirk on his face still didn't go away and as I crossed my arms the three deers behind me looked like they were glaring daggers at him for calling me by such a fond nickname.

He glared back just as intensely, this got me to think.. if the animals were somehow connected to Circe.

I mean- she does have magic and she is kind of a witch so.. it isn't too far off from being completely crazy! That is a good thing right?

Eh, whatever.

I quickly brushed everything aside and walked over to where Odysseus was, with me sitting behind him and wrapping my arms tightly around his neck with a cheeky smile on my face as I felt him jolt from not having his guard up.

Eurylochus was current gone with a few soldiers though I made sure only four went this time instead of more than that, given as long as I can cut our losses and keep us at higher men than in the original that's what I'll continue to do.

" Watcha doing? " I whispered softly into his ear, as we looked out at our ships and at the soldiers out and about doing their own things such as fishing and talking with each other or just setting up camp on the beach or places where there are bits of grass.

I usually slept close to or in the same room/place as Odysseus, but as soon as Poseidon came along with us he's been hogging me the entire boat ride so I assumed I'd get as much time as I could with Odysseus beforehand!

" You know, the usual. Make sure these men are doing their damn job, and make sure you're safe. " He said softly, the last part was him trying to tease me though I could see from the look in his eyes that he's thinking about something really important.

" Is it about your wife?.. Go ahead, you can tell me.. " I said softly, the least I could do is provide him with a bit of solace especially at a time as important as this.

" I don't just miss my wife, Pearl.. I miss my son... I don't even know what he looks like now, and I miss my home because I've almost forgotten how beautiful the homes used to look. " He said softly, venting out all of what he was thinking to me in a flurry but I listened intently to him as to not miss a single word.

I gave him a sad smile, and laid my head on his shoulder with one of my hands soothing him by gently caressing his chest as I continued to embrace him from behind while humming for him to continue.

I let him know that I was here and that he'd be able to vent to me for however long he needed or even wanted to, and that I was one to trust on whatever is on his mind no matter what predicament we would be in I'd always be here for him.

And now here he was, crying into my shoulder as I comforted him continuously without having to say a single thing except for humming softly into his ear as a sign to him that I was here and that I was listening to every word coming from his mouth.

This is the therapy he needed, especially since it's one on one with me holding him as he desperately clung to me like his life depended on it. And in a way. It did. It depended on every second of this and I'm gladly giving my everything to him.

He needed this and I wasn't going to stop him from doing everything that he needs to calm down and have clear mind, something Eurylochus both couldn't AND didn't want to do for him in the original which means I'm slowly but surely starting to take his place by Odysseus' side by simply comforting him the way he was supposed to be comforted in the original.

After around an hour he was done crying, though he continued to lay in my arms and snuggle into the warmth of my body enjoying it a bit too much but I didn't stop him. I didn't dislike it either.

On the contrary, I absolutely loved how much he depended on me and I genuinely adored that he was trying his damn best to calm down and just relax for once in his life along with get him a bit closer to me.

After a good 30 minutes of us being stuck in that position while saying nothing but knowing completely not to move, he finally decided that he was feeling better and could start functioning without my help and he flashed me a warm smile to show his appreciation for me and my presence.

After two more hours of Eurylochus being gone, he finally showed up alone which meant the start of the very much awaited Circe Saga so I took a deep breath to get myself ready for what's to happen next.

" Captain! "

Let us see how long we can survive this part shall we?

This'll probably be released early if not like an hour before it hits 12:00 or after school at least mostly due to where I live and.. stuff but also because I don't want to be late but also because I don't want to be too early either!

Hope y'all enjoyed, the Circe Saga will officially begin in the next chapter given this was mainly a chapter about them getting on land first and getting everything ready as well as a one on one sesh between Ody n Y/N plus some other things!
