Magnus stood at the window of his office, his shoulder no longer aching from Lily's attack. The events of the day had forced him to reassess his previous assumptions, and he didn't like being wrong.

"I underestimated Frank James," Magnus muttered, more to himself than to Jax, who stood silently nearby. "The Pied Piper is far more dangerous than I anticipated."

Jax remained quiet, knowing better than to interrupt Magnus's thoughts. After a moment, Magnus turned to face him.

"I've made a miscalculation, Jax," Magnus admitted, his voice low and deadly. "I thought James was a minor nuisance, useful for keeping the powerless children out of my way. But this attack... it shows he's capable of far more."

Jax nodded, carefully choosing his words. "What do you want to do, sir?"

Magnus's eyes hardened with resolve. "We need to find him, and quickly. His ability to control children, to turn them into weapons... it's a threat we can't ignore any longer."

He paused, studying Jax intently. "I'm reconsidering my earlier decision. I think it's time you got involved in this manhunt, Jax."

Jax straightened, a mix of surprise and determination crossing his face. "I'm ready, sir. What do you need me to do?"

"I want you to lead a team to track down Frank James," Magnus said, his voice leaving no room for argument. "Use whatever resources you need."

Magnus moved closer to Jax, his voice lowering. "The general population doesn't need to know the full extent of the threat we're facing. Understood?"

Jax nodded firmly. "Yes, sir. I'll find him."

As Jax left the office to begin preparations for the manhunt, Magnus turned back to the window. His reflection stared back at him, a reminder of the power he held and the responsibilities that came with it.

The Pied Piper had made a grave mistake in targeting Sanctuary. Now, it was time to show him why crossing Magnus was a fatal error.
