I destroy what I love most, it can't be helped, but he's stuck with me so he's bound to be wrecked. - Silas Blue

Charlie leaned back, bringing his hands behind his head, with a self satisfied smirk resting on his face as he gazed haughtily at the empty doorway, Silas Blue was officially absent. The bell that marked tardiness had just rung, and the raven haired catalyst wasn't collapsing in her seat, causing trouble, or better yet - wasn't making him feel like his emotions were in a blender that was set on 'high'.

Feeling horribly excited Charlie pulls his phone out of his back pocket, knowing he wouldn't get in trouble because 'if you aren't using class time wisely, it will be reflected in your final grade'. Which was basically Ms. Roberts way of saying; if you screw around in class that's your problem, but don't blame me if you fail this class.

Which was one of the reasons he liked her, she was cool with just about anything, or so it seemed until you got punished. The thought crosses his mind that he should probably use this time to do his math homework he had previously neglected to do - but he shakes it off.
Charlie abhors math, because he personally believes that not everything can be solved if you do the correct formula - an argument that he usually always engaged in with the teacher every class time.

He pulls up Star Poss' contact and sends him a message, not even bothering to continue the conversation where they had left off, which as far as he could remember was something about an irrelevant detail concerning the upcoming history final, Star wasn't really even concerned about it anyway - his photographic memory was a useful tool when it came to not studying.

A factor that made Charlie infinitely jealous, he had to work hard for the grades he earned, whereas Star breezed right through every exam.

Star! Silas isn't here today, so that means I can just give the art teacher some lame excuse and come over to your study hall.

He taps his fingers on the surface of his desk lightly, waiting for a response and observing the pair of students in the back of the classroom, who at the moment are coming dangerously close to kissing, and he finds it disgusting, but oddly funny.
His cell phone vibrates and he fumbles it, startled it jolts him back into the present, and his eyes swivel back over to the screen.

gr8t Char, but arent u gonna talk 2 Ms. R about removing Silas as a partner?

The text sparks Charlie's memory, and suddenly he can't believe what a perfect day this is turning out to be, with the Blue Devil gone it would be all too easy whittling his way out of this partnership. It would be as easy as calling Theo out when he was lying. Grinning he replies,

Yeah, see you in about twenty minutes.

He slides his phone back into his jeans and looks around for Ms. Roberts, finding that the students who were so close to swapping spit are now full on making out. Charlie recoils at the sight and fights the almost overwhelming urge to yell the words, "no PDA!"

But he doesn't, and instead turns around slowly, trying to erase the images that have been seemingly burned into his mind. Rubbing his temples and grimacing Charlie continues his less than ten second search for the teacher. He discovers that he obviously should have looked for her the most logical spot - most likely at her desk, because that's where she was now.

Pushing away his chair he walks over to her, already planning a speech of sorts in his head.

"Umm . . . Ms. Roberts?" He queries politely.
