The morning sun filtered through the dense canopy of the northern forest of Stardust Valley, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. The Netherwards, now more accustomed to their magical abilities, ventured deeper into the woods. Birds chirped merrily, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves. It was almost idyllic—until the unmistakable sound of rustling leaves and hushed voices shattered the tranquility. Clearly, we were not alone.
From the underbrush, a group of ten bandits emerged, their weapons gleaming menacingly in the sunlight. They wore ragged clothes and sported sinister grins, the kind that said, "We are definitely up to no good." These unsavory characters clearly fancied themselves as the lords of the forest. Well, they were in for a surprise.
Mhelfrancovince, ever the picture of stoic composure, stepped forward, his eyes scanning the bandits with a mixture of amusement and disdain. "Well, isn't this just perfect? Finally, the real isekai experience," he quipped, his voice dripping with dark humor. "I was starting to worry we'd just be wandering around aimlessly forever."
His words hung in the air, a challenge that the bandits seemed all too eager to accept. One of them, a particularly scruffy fellow with a patchy beard, sneered and brandished his sword. "Hand over your valuables, and no one gets hurt!" he barked, clearly underestimating the Netherwards.
"Oh, dear. Someone hasn't done their homework," I thought, perched high on a branch for a bird's-eye view of the impending showdown. As a cat of discerning taste and superior intellect, I couldn't help but chuckle at the bandits' folly. Little did they know, they were up against a family of magical powerhouses.
Airanikka, ever the fiery spirit, cracked her knuckles and grinned. "Looks like it's time to slice and dice," she said, summoning her Wind Cutter with a flourish. The bandits barely had time to react before she unleashed a series of razor-sharp air slashes, sending them scrambling for cover. Her precision was impeccable, each slash cutting through the air with a satisfying whoosh. One particularly unlucky bandit found his hat sliced clean off his head. "Oops, did I give you a trim?" she quipped, her eyes dancing with amusement.
Mhelangelus, adaptable and ever-so-funny, was next to step up. With a dramatic flourish, he summoned two massive Granite Golems. "Meet my new friends, Rocky and Pebbles," he announced with a grin, clearly enjoying the theatricality of the moment. The golems lumbered forward, their stone bodies creaking and groaning with each step, creating an imposing sight. The bandits' faces paled as they realized they were outmatched.
Rocky and Pebbles, as Mhelangelus had so affectionately named them, moved with surprising speed for such massive constructs. One bandit, in a panic, tried to stab Rocky with a dagger, only to see his weapon shatter into pieces against the golem's hard exterior. "Tough luck," Mhelangelus called out, unable to suppress a chuckle.
Meanwhile, Pebbles was busy demonstrating her strength by effortlessly lifting one of the bandits into the air. The poor fellow's legs kicked uselessly as he was held aloft, his face turning a lovely shade of crimson. "I don't think he's enjoying the view from up there," I mused, watching the scene unfold from my perch.
As Rocky and Pebbles continued to corral the bandits, Mhelangelus couldn't resist showing off a bit more. With a wave of his hand, he commanded Rocky to stomp the ground, sending a shockwave rippling through the forest floor. The bandits were thrown off balance, some of them toppling over like dominoes. "And that's how you rock their world!" he declared, clearly pleased with his pun.
The bandits, now thoroughly intimidated, huddled together, their earlier bravado completely extinguished. They exchanged nervous glances, realizing that their day had taken a very unexpected turn. "Is this some kind of nightmare?" one of them muttered, wide-eyed.
