Ch 13: Sundown

Anna's Pov

I wake up alone in bed,that dream I had made me think about how grateful I am to have Arthur in my life,he might have basically made me and my sister slaves,but he doesn't treat us like slaves. I see the gentle love her has for Emily as if she was his own daughter,and how he looks at me like I'm his world,he is my world too.

I get out of bed and slip out of my nightgown,I look at myself in the mirror and gently feel the hickeys Arthur left on my neck yesterday,I bet he's happy over the ones I gave him.

I go into the bathroom for a nice long relaxing bath before I then put on a white pair of lingerie and wear a fancy yet simple white dress

"Looking good Anna,if only it were a wedding dress" I say to myself.

I leave the bedroom and walk down the halls, greeting the maids and butlers I've grown so accustom to and watch their happy greetings back.

I walk to the south wing and I see Arthur ordering the maids and butlers to decorate the ballroom.

"What's going on my love? I asked.

"Tonight my friends from the capital and their families will be coming here for a get together,not my idea" he said sadly.

I went up to him and kissed him,I wasn't intent on being hidden any longer. He accepted it and kissed me back and held hands in his.

We pulled away from each other's lips but still hands held.

"I hope your friends won't try anything,you know I'm yours~" I whispered seductively into his ear.

"They won't my love,and if they are stupid enough to try... let's just say I might become a cannibal" he held my hand close to his mouth.

He kissed my palm as if engraving it's touch to memory.

After that Olivia brought me into the bedroom.

"Okay sweetie,Lauren prepared something special for you before she left" Olivia said while opening the closet.

Inside the closet was a beautiful red and black dress. I looked at it at I felt happy and thankful for Lauren's gift.

"I love it, I'll have to send her a gift when I see her again" I said happily.

Olivia helped me into the dress and I  looked at myself in the mirror and admired how beautiful I looked, like a princess.

"You look so beautiful sweetie. You should go meet Arthur at the South wing by the front door" Olivia said.

I left the bedroom and went to the edge of the south wing and there I see Arthur waiting.

"Hello babe" I nudge him.

He looked at me lovingly, admiring my dress in silent but I knew he loved it,he wrapped his arms around me in a gentle hug.

"Hello my love,you look so beautiful" he whispered in my ear.

I felt a shiver run down my spine that made me want him more.

Then 5 people entered through the door.

"Welcome Lord Lucius Flare and Lady Helena and your son's" the maids introduced them with a bow.

There was four men and one woman. The three younger men,two had red scales on their foreheads while the one had grey scales,they were brothers by how they seemed to whispering among themselves while laughing,and their identical brown hair. The older man,the father was middle aged by the dark tiny of his red scales and the grey hairs on his brown hair.The woman had grey scales on her forehead and had completely white hair,she was probably highly adept in magic.

"Arthur my friend,how have you been?" Lucius greeted with a grin.

"I'm good my friend, better now" Arthur smiled.

"I see you've gotten yourself quite the beautiful red head" Helena chuckled but there was no malice.

"Yes I have, this is Anna,my beloved" Arthur reached for my hand on kissed it.

"Hello my Lord and Lady,my name is Anna" I greeted formally.

"I'm Connor,and my two brothers are Jason and Will" one of the boys said nonchalantly.

Connor pointed to his brother Jason,the other drake,and then pointed towards his brother Will,the wyvern.

"They are triplets, quite painful giving birth to them,but I love my boys" Helena looked proud.

"Arthur I know you,and to see how you look at your slave,and I support you... But you better be ready for the consequences" Lucius gave Arthur a stern look.

"I won't let that happen Lucy" Arthur said lovingly and teases Lucius.

"I told you not to call me that" Lucius groaned.

"I know,but you guys wanted to come during our breeding season so don't think I won't be a bastard" Arthur picked me up,"so my dear,shall we ditch my friend and his family and go have some fun~" Arthur said with a husky voice, dripping with desire.

"Babe maybe as much as I would love to be with you right now,I just got into this dress that Lauren made for me,and I don't want it dirty or damaged, okay my love?" I said lovingly before giving him a kiss.

He looked disappointed and out me back down but he gave me a kiss.

"Fine my love,I understand"he gave me a loving smile.

"By the Fire's Ire,I never thought somebody other than Olivia could make Arthur back down" Lucius looked shocked and afraid.

"It's a woman's touch dear,but considering how extremely stubborn Arthur is,he must love a lot" Helena gave me a gentle smile.

I felt happy, Arthur's friends were kind and supported his relationship with us. I kept wondering about what Lucius meant by consequences,I know I might be killed,it scares me,I don't want to loose everyone I've grown to love,and I know Sammy and Emily, Olivia and Liam would mourn my death...but what would Arthur do,my death might break him.

"I'd do anything for her,no matter the cost" Arthur said firmly.

I want to be with him for as long as my short fragile life is,even if we're unable to get married and have children, I'll always be thankful for the years he would give me.

I turn to the windows. The sun has began to set beautifully with that orange shine.

"The sun is setting my dear" I say lovingly to Arthur.

"Yes my dear,but it's nothing compared to you" Arthur held my hand.
