Ch 15: trauma

Arthur's Pov

It was still night and I left Anna in the room,I needed to head out and clear my head.

I went to the west wing and out into the garden,I needed to speak to Liam.

I entered his forge and he was there waiting for me with a few bottles of strong blue veil wine.

"We need to talk" he said angrily,he was drunk.

"About what Liam,I just came to clear my head with you and you're here angry" I was annoyed.

"You fucking think the draconic council hasn't already finished their preparations," he grabbed my shirt "You better have your plans ready, because I don't want to loose someone I love again!" He said angrily.

"Liam calm down,I know it hurts but I swear in my life that I will protect Anna, Emily and Sammy " I said gently.

"You said the same thing to me when Sammy's mother died,my SISTER DIED!" He punched my face.

"I'm sorry and that was 8 years ago,and what happened to you only happened 4 years ago,it wasn't supposed to happen!" I said.

"I was 15! The draconic council took me and forced me into their breeding stock right after Beatrice fell asleep,they had women rape me for 3 weeks straight and the one I loved!...I watched them do the same to her...the only good thing I have left is Sammy,but ever since Emily and Anna came here 7 months ago I had more people I cared about,more people I'd loose." He dropped to the ground and cried.

I looked at my friend,my brother and I felt helpless once again,I wasn't able to stop the draconic council then,they took everything from him and the only left he thought he had was Sammy,I never knew how deep this traumatized him...

I grab him by the shoulders firmly.

"Liam listen to me" I look him dead in the eyes,"I will protect you all with my life, I'm not going to let them do anything to Anna, Emily or Sammy" I said firmly.

I left him go and I use my magic morph my hand into dragon claws and I stab my other hand and let my blood run on to the ground.

"I vow upon my name as Arthur Caliber, prince of the dragons and future king,I will not let anything bad happen to my beloved Anna,my two girls Emily and Sammy, Olivia and you, By the Fire's Ire my soul is true and my scales hard" I said proudly.

"Okay...then I guess we've got our work cut out for us brother,since the blue moon ball is a week away and we all have to go to the capital" he got up and bandaged my hand

I use my magic to revert my clawed hand back to normal.

We head back into his forge and I wrap my arm on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry Liam, let's finish the weapons tonight" I said happily.

"Got it" he gave me a smirk.

We began working in the forge,I breathed my fire into his forge and used magic to enhance it's properties.

Liam began to put some adamantine and the scales I gave him together into the forge,and quenched the burning product in my blood. This was done the entire night until sunrise.

"It's done, weapons designed to effectively kill dragons" Liam said proudly.

"I should head back to Anna,she should be waking up soon" I turn to leave.

"Good, because we know the draconic council plans on putting her in their breeding stock,she doesn't deserve to be beaten and raped" Liam said aggressively.

I left his forge and made my way through the halls until I enter our bedroom.

"My love are you awake?" I ask with a smile.

I watched as she woke up and turned to me.

"I'm awake now dear,I spent most of the night looking for where you went off to" she sounded angry but too tired to say anything else.

I walked over to her and kissed her.

"I'm sorry my love, Liam needed a drinking buddy in the middle of the night" I say happily.

"I know we do it every night,but I want more sex,I want it in the morning too" she kissed me passionately.

I would love nothing more than to rut into her all day if I could,but I get this strange sense from her soul that maybe I shouldn't. It's harmony has this echo,and it's slightly different.

She pulls away and gets dressed in her usual white dress and takes me out of the room and into the kitchen.

"We will discuss what I said later,But for now let's make breakfast for our family" she said lovingly.

She's weirdly, loving today,I don't mind it, I love it...but I can see something is wrong.maybe she doesn't know what's happening to her.

We make pancakes for everyone and put them on the dinning table. When Olivia, Liam, Emily and Sammy come and sit down we have a nice morning.

"I'm pregnant" Anna blurted out.

Everything went still, Emily and Sammy were too innocent to understand,but Olivia, Liam and I were silent. My love,my everything,my Anna.

"You're pregnant?" I said nervously and tried to hold back my tears.

"I'm 1 mont pregnant...I kept it hidden and wore bigger dresses because... because I didn't know how to tell you" she said hesitantly
