Percy's POV:
For some of you reading the comments, I've been switching between my...personalities quite frequently... I don't know if that's gonna affect this. Still, I'll just ask 14 to override everything so she doesn't have to write the switch constantly (go fuck yourself, brother). See, she's already accepting it (*flips Percy the bird* *whispering* stupid annoying brother making my job harder. Why did you have to develop a Roman form). I heard that but am choosing not to reply.
The plane didn't take too much longer to land—relative to being immortal—and as I had slightly suspected, we were told to wait, and I was being arrested. Like seriously, can you believe this shit?!?!? I help the mortals by preventing further crimes against a child, and I am the one arrested for it. I guess after I am done with the ones who commit crimes against children, I'll be moving on to the politicians who allow it and the law enforcement who do nothing about it.
"Sir, you're under arrest for attempted murder," one of the officers who boarded the plane said.
"Attempted?" I said, feigning outrage. "Ain't nothing you dumbasses can do to save that poor excuse for a human's life."
"Sir, calm down," the officer replied, touching their tazer.
"That won't do anything to me," I deadpanned, only to get shot by a taser.
"Like I said, it would not do anything to me," I said, pulling out the taser prong from my shirt. "And now you owe me a new shirt."
You say that like Thalia wouldn't rip it off us once we get back to our palace.
'it's the principle of the matter,' I argued.
"Sir, you can't just murder people. There's a process," the officer attempted.
"A process that does nothing besides let predators go with a mere slap to the wrist," I said. "A process that has failed my charges for at minimum since your nation's founding." By now, the officers were backing up, the people in first class were a bit confused, and the people in the back were starting to see what the problem was up here.
"Who...who are you," one of the more courageous officers decided to speak.
"I am surprised you do not know me by now. I am all over the news right now worldwide for what I have done after my release. My charges shall rejoice, for I have finally been returned to them after that foolish Roman Emperor, with no doubt assistance from a traitor, had captured me with the same net used to capture Aphrodite in her affair with Ares."
The officers began backstepping and seemed to be trying to leave the plane as if they were never here.
"Yes, mark his death as an 'Act of God,' why don't you? You mortals have been quite fond of that excuse since my capture anyway."
"Mister?" the young girl asked, getting my attention.
"Yes, young one?"
"Are you God?" she asked.
"A god, yes, but God as in big 'G' god, well I'll give you the same answer an old horse semi-friend of mine once said, 'that's a different matter, and we shan't get into the metaphysical.'"
She seemed to be pondering this, as many passengers were getting their stuff and leaving now that the cops weren't blocking the aisle and presumably the gangway. "What do you do?"
"Many things, young one, which, if you choose to stick with us, you will come to learn, but one of the things I do is the protection of children, much like my adoptive mother and her annoying twin used to do until new laws were passed forbidding them," I answered.
