A/N: Okay, I know that it has been a long ass time and I'm sorry. Hopefully I'll finally find my inspiration again and keep this story going. Also, the story will be written in 3rd person from now on. Maybe later on when I finish I will be able to go back and revise the previous chapters and turn them into 3rd person. I hope you enjoy this long awaited chapter and thank you again for sticking by me.
It has been nearly a week since the last trial was held. Everything seemed to be coming to a close and Camila was almost 100% certain that she would win the case. Sure, the blame has been pinned on Dinah, Reagan's mistress, but her job was to make sure that Lauren would be safe. Although the guilt was slowly getting to her. She felt bad for throwing Dinah under the bus when Camila knew that she couldn't have possibly done it. Even though all of the signs were pointing to Dinah, there was just something off about it. As if this was all planned. Camila was only drawn away from her thoughts when she realized that she has arrived.
"Camila," Dante greeted her as she entered his apartment along side Normani, "how are you two doing?" The trio hasn't seen each other since the end of the previous trial due to the fact that there was not much else to discuss. Or so they thought,
"We're fine, we just wanted to chat about our game plan for friday," Normani responded, noticing Camila's absentminded behavior. "It's just the closing arguments and we're home free, right?" Camila simply nodded in response.
The previous events were rather uneventful and consisted of Austin bringing up several different neighbors who brought up the same idea: Reagan and Lauren were on bad terms. Other than that, his entire case was completely pointless and empty. If it wasn't for the former couple's arguments, Austin wouldn't have a case to begin with.
Camila, on the other hand, brought witnesses who testified about Dinah's relationship with Regan, the gun that matched the bullets found at the crime scene, and even brought family members who supported the fact that Lauren was a kind hearted human being.
"Well, I actually wanted to talk about something else about the case," Normani and Camila listened intently to what Dante had to say, "Remember those hospital files Austin found?" The two women nodded, "I found them in the trash after that trial and what I found in the mainframe matches the files Mahone had."
"So those files weren't a fraud?" Camila asked quietly. The worst case scenarios were flashing through her mind as they spoke.
Dante nodded, "These are true and the scary part is that this isn't even the full story." Dante pulled out a few more papers from his file cabinet and handed them to the two women.
"Holy shit," Normani was shocked to see the long list of felonies that the green-eyed girl had on record, "She was sent to Trenton State Hospital? I've never even heard of the place! Why wasn't this on her original record?"
"She changed her name and became a whole new person, much like her father. Although, I still can't seem to figure out how she did it." He pulled out two near identical pictures of, who they assumed to be, Lauren. The only difference was that her heri was up and there was a small dragonfly tattoo that stood proudly beneath her ear in the first picture, "See this dragonfly tattoo? That's the only way to prove that Lauren Morgado and Lauren Jauregui are the same person." In the second, most recent mug shot, the camera was not able to spot her tattoo due to her long, thick hair that hung over her shoulder.
The two women in the room sat quietly, taking in everything that Dante has just told them. Camila was shocked to say the least, she didn't quite understand how any of this happened. How a single woman could have pulled this all off herself. But deep down, she knew. Something in her knew that those dazzling emerald green eyes would be the most dangerous thing that has ever appeared in her life.
