Staghorn Sumac, Rhus typhina
"Ramis hirtis uti typhi cervini" - the branches are rough like antlers in velvet.
The fruits are edible and an excellent source of Vitamin C. My sister and I used to make 'lemonade' and tisane with them when we were kids. Nice spritely citrus flavor.
This is the first tree I learned how to climb. It grew as I did.
