The next morning
Ambrosia left the hotel and walked the streets of New Orleans. The streets were, as always, very busy and you could hear music here and there.
She didn't think much of it and went to have breakfast in a small café since she had nothing else to do. While she was sitting in the café and eating something in peace, Kaleb, whose body Kol Mikaelson was currently in, entered the café.
He saw the strange and new face and went to her. "Hello, you're new in town, is that possible?" Ambrosia looked at Kaleb. "Yes, I am."
“I’m Kaleb Westphall,” he said kindly. "Hi Kaleb, I'm Ambro-.. Amber Brown." Of course, Kaleb noticed that she was hiding something because she initially wanted to say a different name.
"Amber Brown?" "Yes, I'm Amber Brown." "What brings you to New Orleans?" he asked. "The family. Old relatives live here and I wanted to visit them.”
“May I sit with you?” Ambrosia nodded and Kaleb sat down across from her. “Do you actually know the city yet?”
The blonde-haired woman shook her head. "No, occasionally I wanted to see New Orleans." "Only occasionally?"
"Yeah, I don't know if I'll have that much time, well, my family is complicated."
She laughed a little, and Kaleb had a good look at her necklace, which had a wooden werewolf pendant on it. Caleb, or rather Kol, recognized this pendant.
“Your necklace, the pendant. Where did you get it from?” he asked curiously. Ambrosia looked at Caleb. “It's a family heirloom, I've had it since I was born. It’s from my mom.”
Caleb began to put the puzzle pieces together in his head and came to the conclusion that this girl could only be his sister's daughter. She looked too much like her mother and the necklace was the same one that had belonged to his sister Rebekah Mikaelson.
All of this simply couldn't be a coincidence. But no, it could really just be a stupid coincidence. The best thing to do is simply show Ambrosia to his mother Esther. Esther would definitely be happy about that.
“How about I show you a little bit of New Orleans and the French Quarter?” “That would be really nice of you, Kaleb, thanks.” “No problem.”
Ambrosia was hopeful that she had found a good friend for the first time. She has never had a best friend or a best friend. Of course, she didn't know that all of this would end horribly.
So they both left the café and Kaleb showed Ambrosia the French Quarter. Kaleb showed her pretty much everything.
After a while they were everywhere except Lafayette Cemetery. The cemetery where the witches of the French Quarter are constantly.
“Amber, I want to show you one more place, come with me.” Ambrosia followed Kaleb and arrived at the entrance gate to Lafayette Cemetery.
"So, how does it feel to have grown up without a family, Ambrosia Mikaelson?" Kaleb suddenly asked as they walked through Lafayette Cemetery. "I'm sorry, what?"
“Ambrosia Mikaelson, that’s your name, right? Niece, tell me. How did you survive? I'm curious." "I don't know you." "Of course not. Kol Mikaelson. And we’re going to visit Grandma now.”
“No.” “Yes.” “Nope. Bye. Never. Nada. N. O. NO!"
Ambrosia wants to leave, but she is stopped.“Seriously now?” she asked annoyed. Because witches were slowly surrounding them. Ambrosia knew she had to keep calm. But this was difficult because her inner wolf, which is very aggressive, wanted to come out and this was difficult for her to suppress.
Her eyes slowly turned orange. She looked around frantically as the wind grew. The witches noticed that this was created by magic
Cassie aka Esther came along. “Mother, this is her, this is Ambrosia Mikaelson. She denies it, but she obviously is.” Cassie walked towards Ambrosia. “Hello, little scum.”
"A teenager?" Ambrosia was obviously making fun of the fact that Esther was in a girl's body.
Werewolves also came slowly, they all have moonlight rings. But she didn't need one.
“Don’t make it unnecessarily difficult. Come with us willingly or suffer.” She shook her head. "No!" Ambrosia wouldn't trust the people who abandoned her. “You can’t fight all of us. You will lose. I just want to protect you, Ambrosia.”
"You wanted me to die." Cassie shook her head. “My little scum, you are here and not a vampire. You are special and I would never, ever kill a child of my bloodline. I am a mother. You’re going to have a family, but you just have to trust me.”
Ambrosia's instincts tell her that Esther just wanted to manipulate her. “You are all Esther, but not my family.”
She started to lose control. Ambrosia felt like she did back then with Dahlia. Dahlia tried to control and manipulate her, to convince her to share her magic with her.
Every time she lost control it meant something bad. But she didn't want to lose control. But when she sensed the witches casting a spell to attack her, it became even harder for her to hold back.
“Little scum, you will lose.” Suddenly she felt pain all over her body as the witches’ spell took effect. She fought against it, but she couldn't.
Ambrosia knew she had the strength to fight the spell, but due to the increasing panic, she was unable to do so. The words that she was scum echoed in her head.
So she screamed, this created a blue shockwave of magic, causing all the witches, werewolves, Caleb and Cassie to be thrown away. Her magic was strongly felt, the power she had was felt deep in everyone's bones.
At that moment, Cassie, where Esther found herself, was aware of one thing:
Ambrosia would destroy them all if she didn't learn to control this power. Since such a power was difficult to control, Esther knew that Ambrosia had to be killed, for only then would they be safe.
