POV: Hanbin | WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Hao had been gone too long.

Every second without seeing him only added to the guilt in my gut. I tried to pull away, to go find him, but Yuji clung to me, her fingers digging into my arm. She murmured about how we hadn't seen each other in ages and that I should stay at my own party, but I could barely hear her over the pounding in my head.

Then I noticed Rian slip out of the room, abandoning the game. My stomach twisted with worry. Rian didn't belong here. He shouldn't have been anywhere near my family or friends. I didn't invite him. My parents must have...but why would they let him in?

The sight of Rian with Hao earlier had already set me on edge. The way he was watching him—it was all wrong. The longer I was around them, the more the anxiety shifted into something darker.

Stay away from Hao, I thought over and over, as if that alone could keep him safe.

But when minutes passed without either of them returning, that tight feeling in my chest broke open.

I could feel it—something was happening.

I tore my arm from Yuji's grasp, brushing off her confused protests. "I'll be back," I muttered, already heading out of the room, barely aware of the words leaving my mouth.

I stepped into the empty hallway, only to find the front door slightly open. I stepped outside, scanning for any sign of them.

Nothing.

My heart raced, and I turned back toward the house, closing the door when suddenly-

"Let go!"

A weak sound from upstairs.

Hao. Panic mixed with a burning fury as I ran up the stairs, my hands balling into fists. When I reached the door, I didn't hesitate—I threw it open.

"Hao!" I called, only for the scene in front of me to turn my blood to ice.

Rian was on top of Hao, his body pressed against him in a way that sent a wave of nausea and rage crashing through me. His hands pinning Hao down, his face hovering above him, like he'd already won.

Rian looked over his shoulder, catching sight of me. He still had the nerve to smirk.

"Oh, sorry! This your bitch?"

My vision blurred with fury.

My body moved on instinct, pure rage moving me forward. I reached for his collar, yanking him off Hao with all my strength, tossing him across the room until he slammed against the wall. The satisfying crack echoed in my ears as my fist shot forward, colliding with his face, what a great day to be wearing rings.

The smirk didn't fade; if anything, it deepened, twisted with some sick pleasure as he wiped blood from his lip. "So many dicks, yet he's still so tight," he sneered.

"Bastard," I growled, feeling a blinding heat rush through me. I lashed out again, harder, forcing him to stumble back, the impact hurting my own knuckles. I didn't stop. My fists came down, again and again, each punch fueled by rage and disgust. Every bruise and cut I left felt like a small piece of retribution, but it wasn't enough—I wanted to break him.
