POV: Hanbin | MONDAY MORNING"Zhang Hao," I muttered under my breath, not realizing the words had slipped out loud until I slapped a hand over my mouth in shock.
Zhang Hao's smirk spread slowly across his face as he tilted his head, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh, you know my name?" His voice carried a teasing edge as he raised an eyebrow. The heat crept up my neck, and I couldn't help but avert my gaze.
Damn it, he looked even more stunning in person.
I looked away, fumbling for an excuse. "Of course, I do. I'm... I'm your teacher." My voice wavered embarrassingly, and I heard him chuckle lowly, the sound sending an involuntary shiver down my spine.
"Really?" he murmured, stepping closer, and I swore the air in the room thickened. He stopped right in front of me, too close. His gaze traveled leisurely over me, tracing every line and curve as a smirk tugged at his lips.
"What a cute teacher I have," he whispered, brushing a stray strand of hair from my face. My breath hitched, and I stumbled back, my heart racing. His touch was brief but it left a trail of heat in its wake.
His gaze lingered, intense and dangerous, like he was playing a game only he knew the rules to. These past few days, I'd only seen him in pictures, and now, here he was, standing before me, hands casually in his pockets, and yet somehow, he held all the control.
Before the moment could spiral further, the sound of the trainees shuffling into the room finally broke the tension. I exhaled shakily, relieved for the distraction, but Hao remained rooted in place, his stare unwavering. My skin prickled under his scrutiny, making it hard to focus.
I forced myself to focus, bending down to grab my notes from the floor. "Good morning, guys!" I called out, aiming for my usual upbeat tone, but it came out a little shaky. From the corner of my eye, I could still feel Zhang Hao's gaze boring into me.
I tried to stay composed, flipping through my notes. "Uh, so... for today, we're—uh—hold on." My mind went completely blank under his scrutiny, and I had to take a deep breath to focus. "Oh, right. First of all, Zhang Hao will be joining us from now on. Please welcome him warmly." I dared a glance in his direction, and he winked at me, quick and mischievous. My face burned, and I turned away in an instant.
The trainees murmured amongst themselves, eyeing him curiously. His presence was different, sharper, more intense than the rest. I only hoped they'd be able to get along.
"We'll continue building on the basics from last week," I said, moving on swiftly. "You'll be split into groups of five for a team choreography. Same dance for everyone, but only performed in groups."
To keep things fair, I had them draw lots to decide teams. "I'll send the choreography to the group chat," I added, only to realize Zhang Hao wasn't in it yet.
I hesitated, then made my way over to him. "I need your number," I said, feeling the blush return.
"With pleasure," he said, fingers brushing against mine as he took the device, the touch sending a jolt through me. He typed something in and handed it back with a smug grin.
When I looked at the screen, my heart nearly stopped. He'd saved himself as 'Honey~'. My eyes shot up to his in disbelief, and he snickered, completely unashamed.
I changed the name to 'Trainee Zhang Hao' as quickly as possible and added him to the chat, sending the video before things got even more awkward.
"Okay, everyone, get into your groups. I'll be coming around to help."
I kept my focus on the trainees, scribbling down notes about the teams. Matthew's group, with Gyuvin and Ricky, was going to be a handful. I'd have to keep an eye on them. Some groups struggled, others clicked instantly, the chemistry between them making everything look smooth.
