I have been sitting by Henry's bedside for hours. His hand is cold and limp in my warm one and he looks contently asleep. Probably because he's so drugged out of his mind. He wearing a ratchet hospital gown Schwoz found, but his arms and legs are still covered in crusty blood, along with his hair that is laying in every direction.

When he called out my name before being drugged asleep, asking me to stay with him, I just couldn't leave him alone. Sure I haven't slept in the last 24 hours, but something is compelling me to stay.

I let go of his hand, and reach up to remove his Kid Danger mask. His eyelashes are splayed against his cheeks, and his breathing is clear and even. He looks so peaceful.

Everything about his is just so...

"Hey Charlotte!" I jump out of my thoughts and see Jasper standing in the doorway.

"Jasper," I scold him, cause what the heck.

"Heyyy, what happened to Henry?"

"You know Jasper, you would know if YOU ANSWERED ANY OF MY CALLS!" I scream at him. Jasper is my best friend, but seriously, I cant stand him sometimes.

"Well it's not my fault I was sleeping." I shut my eyes and take a deep breath. It's going to be a long day. Well at least Ray isn't h,

"WHAT'S UP GANGGG oh, WHAT HAPPENED TO HENRY?!" Ray's vice booms through my ears.

"He was fighting Dr. Minyak, got brutally mutilated, then after Schwoz fixed him up, he ran out of bed, and gave himself a concussion."

"Oh," Ray and Jasper both say.

"Well that sounds like Henry problem, and the Auto-Snacker is calling my name." Ray says as he inches out of the room.

"Yeah me too," Jasper says and they both run out of the room. I sigh, very loudly, and turn my attention back to Henry.

"Are they gone?" He whispers.

"Henry? Your awake?" I scream whisper.

"Yeah, I woke up right as I heard Ray's voice, I swear it could wake the dead." He brings his hands up and rubs the sleep away from his eyes. I give him a soft smile, and he smiles back.

We just stare at each other, a thousand unspoken words passing between us.

"Char, what would I do without you?" He grab my hands and gives them a soft kiss.

"You probably would've been dead years ago." I try to joke, but only to get away from the other feelings I don't want to Acknowledge.

"Thank you. For everything." He gives me one last bright smile before drifting back to sleep. His hands let go of mine, and I smile a big fat goofy grin.
