Warped Tour was a blast, however, Warped Tour was not the best for your health.

That's why I am currently laying in my bunk, covered in tissues with a screaming headache, nausea and  a persistent sniffly nose.

The only thing I had to do was play Mario Kart on my Nintendo, read or text friends, and by friends I mean the guys.

From Dad-inator: 10:20
Hey kiddo, just checking in on you.

From Stevie: 10:57
Feeling okay? We play in half an hour so Devin and I will try to get back in an hour and a half.

From Lee-Dizzle: 11:03
Just checking in, Austin said he was headed to the bus.

From Alan Cat: 11:16
Austin said he's coming to see you, if you need anything call me.

From Aus: 11:23
Hey, I'm headed towards your bus. Need anything?

To Aus: 11:24
Something to eat and maybe some more tissues if you could.

From Aus: 11:26
How does takeout sound?

To Aus: 11:28
Chinese? Chicken and broccoli?

From Aus: 11:30
You got it, see you in twenty.

"Hey kid." Austin opened up the door to the back room.

I groaned back, shifting in my pile of tissues.

"That bad? Come on, sit up. The doctor said its not good for your ribs to be all scrunched up like that." Austin pulled me up into a sitting position.

"Thanks, Aus." I sniffled out.

"No problem, you know Oli's worried about you right?"

"He's constantly worried. He told Lee that he's regretting taking me on Warped because of all that's gone down."

"He doesn't regret it, he just wishes he could've protected you." Austin smiled, handing me some chopsticks and the takeout box.

"Thanks, Mario Kart?" I handed him a controller.

"Eat first, and then I'm going to slaughter you."

"You're on, Bean Pole."

It took almost a week for me to get back to fighting strength.

Of course with the help of Mario Kart "slaughter sessions" as Austin called them, I was healthy far before I thought I was.

"BRACE FOR IMPACT!"

Oh shit did I mention I was in the A Day to Remember mosh pit?

It was amazing seeing Jeremy McKinnon from this close.

"That was Right Back at it Again from our new album Common Courtesy, and we were told by a friend that there's someone out there who can help us with our next song. Can Tristan Sykes come up here?"

I stared at Alan next to me.

"I will kill you and make it look like an accident."

Alan laughed and pulled me forward through the crowd. We both hopped over the barricade and hoisted ourselves onto the stage.

"This is Tristan, the adopted daughter of Warped, and basically an all around friend to probably any band that's ever played these stages, and tonight she's going to sing with us."

"Alright that's it I'm killing Alan. Where is that ginger princess?" I was ready to implode on stage.

"Oh comes on," Jeremy wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into his side. "Come on, dude, I Remember?" He whispered in my ear.

"Only if you promise you'll help me out?" I whispered back.

"1, 2, 3"

The song began and we both began thrashing around and jumping all over the stage.

I was handed a mic after our headbanging session as Jeremy began the song.

I Remember had been a favorite of mine since warped started. I had never gotten the chance to truly see the country, I mean Jordan and I had gone to Washington D.C one weekend as a gift for my tenth birthday, and as he said my "becoming a member of society".

Jordan had always been a part of my life, up until I was fourteen. After that he left, my grandma told me that drugs had taken over my role model, and that now he was more of a shell than the caring brother I had loved with all my heart. He was twenty five now, and he had disappeared from my life all together.

I guess part of me resented that. That he could've cared for me after my grandfather passed, but I guess that's life.

When the chorus came I sang my heart out. I felt all of the pent up emotions that had built up since the adoption. It felt like a release, being on the stage. Like everything was momentary okay.

The song ended and I bid the crowd goodbye and hopped off the stage to join Alan.

"It's like you're a different person up there, dude. You got into it."

"The song reminds me of someone from before."

"Kid wonder!" Oli's voice yelled out and I turned around to my dad standing behind me. "I watched you up there kiddo, you did fantastic!" Oli put his arm around me, pulling me into his side. "Do you need a break? I don't want you getting sick again."

"I could use a breather actually." I smiled up at Oli, who was looking back and the stage where Jeremy was headbanging.

"Alright, Tris. Let's go."

"Tristan?"

"Jordan?"
_________

Please don't scream at me, I tried to put something together for you!

As for the next chapter or two, they will mention drug abuse heavily so incase you're triggered by that please don't read.
