ok so i do not know how anything in law works even though i was a receptionist for a lawyer for like two years. anyway.

Looking up at that clock, realizing it has only been one minute since I last looked up at it. Apparently a minute ago. Time is moving at the pace of a snail. Ridiculously slow.

Turning back to my monitor, I see an email I was supposed to respond back to was open but nothing was written for it.

I'm supposed to meet Taylor today for a second date. She mentioned she was leaving early tomorrow  morning. For her next stop, Nashville. If all goes well today, I can move forward with my plan.

As I'm finishing send my email back to one of my clients, I hear my phone line start ringing.

"Mr.Kelce, your 12pm appointment is here. Will signing." Penny announces.

"Send them in." I clear my throat, standing up to greet the client.

I walk to the door and saw Andrea and Taylor.  Andrea had a manila folder in her hands. I knew it was a copy of a draft of her will and power of attorney.

"Hi Travis it's so good to see you again" Andrea smiled, pulling me into a hug. We had spoken over the phone, and met over zoom to draft up her will.

"Nice to see you as well Andrea." I gesture to the open chairs in front of my desk. "Please sit. Do you guys want anything to drink?"

My office was quite spacious. Large brown wooden desk in the center, not too far off the right wall. Window with some pictures of my nieces and dogs. A filing cabinet with pictures drawn by the girls, signed with their signature and everything. I also had all my college degrees and law certifications hanging above the file cabinet.  As well as some small little clutter items the girls' have gotten me over the years.

"We're good right now." Andrea nodded.

Taylor looked up at me when she sat down and gave me a small friendly smile. Sort of like the one when you walk past someone in the store. I give one back to her and I see her blush slightly.

She's dressed in a white dress with a red rose design and at the bottom were pops of yellow and blue flowers scattered. Andrea had a simple black shirt on as capris and white tennis shows.

"So we're here to finalize the will and power of attorney?" I ask getting straight into it. I didn't want to make small chatter espically with Taylor because all I now want to do is swoop her off her feet, carry her down the hallway and drive to the Jersey Shore and spend the day on the Boardwalk with her.

Taylor wrote about it in her guidebook. Beach trips and nights on the Boardwalk, those were two of her favorite things to do with her family. She described it as one of her most perfect days and to her standards those were hard to achieve.

Taylor's Picture Perfect Guide to a Perfect Day.

1. Sunshiney, and sunny day. It's the perfect amount of brightness and it's not too hot either.

2. Events and plans. We're not sitting inside on a gorgeous day. I want to be out in the sun, absorbing all that Vitamin D. Even though I burn super easily I love the idea and thought go fresh air.

3. Surprise me. I hate surprises but if it's a good surprise and it has meaning I'll love it.

4. Adventures & risks. Don't be afraid to try something new with us. New places to eat, new places to explore. Going on a pointless drive and not knowing where we end up.

5. Last but not least, flowers. They are my favorite thing ever. Something so delicate can be beautiful but being ignorant towards the flowers they die easily. Same can be said for love. It's a beautiful  magically feeling especially in the beginning but as time goes on  the love can slowly wilt out and have a slow painful misery. Flowers remind me of all the good and beauty in this world. It can be pointless to waste money on extravagant but anytime you see flowers, I hope you think of me. But ignore that. What I'm trying to get here is buy her flowers. Flowers make us feel special.
