I'm standing in front of her office about to knock but she beats me to it, opening the door. "Hi Hunter, I'm Charlie Fox. Everyone calls me Fox. You can have a seat over here." I follow her to the desk. She looks around Lucas' age, and I heard from Peter they were teammates when they were younger, along with someone named Alex, but I haven't heard much about him around here.

Charlie has red hair, like a fox, slicked back into a bun, and a bright red lip. She's a petite woman, but looks strong, and very intimidating.

"I'm sure you've heard about me and I've heard some about you from Lucas so we'll skip the small talk."

She gets to the point.

"If you agree to stay here you need to understand we are not babysitters. If you aren't cut out for this we will do our best to find somewhere safe for you to go, but the foundation of diviners goes back centuries and we have a serious purpose. We protect the world from creatures, like the one you encountered. I'm sure Lucas enlightened you, but regular humans cannot see them, unless certain circumstances are met. They have no way of protecting themselves, that is our job and we don't take it lightly. You will take your training seriously and complete missions to the best of your ability. It may seem like you woke up as a Power Ranger, but lives are on the line. If you can promise me you will do that I will put my trust in you and contact the board. They are already aware of your presence and awaiting my explanation."

"I promise."

The next morning I get up and get ready to train with Lucas. I got no sleep at all, my mind was racing all night. I know I practiced with Peter and Kayce, but will I really be able to fool him. I've been training for the past 5 years, how am I supposed to look like I've never used this power before? Lucas is smart, he'll see right through me. Shit. Why did I agree to this.

I open the door to the training hall.

Kaien.

"What are you doing here?"

"Good morning to you too."

"Where's Lucas?"

"He got called for a mission last minute so he asked me to sub for him. Is that gonna be a problem?" "Yeah actually, it—" "Too bad, you're stuck with me." He gives me the most obnoxious smile. This might be worse than Lucas, he's already suspicious of me.

Wait. Shit. Last night.

He's the last person I wanted to see, that was so embarrassing. How much did he see. I don't know what's worse, me having a panic attack so bad I almost drown, or me naked on the shower floor. I hope Maeve threw a towel on me. I can feel my face heating up.

Is he laughing?

I'm gonna kill him.

I can't help but laugh.

I'm gonna make her slip up today. If she's used her powers before there's no way in hell she can hide that during training.

"First hand-to-hand. It'll be our warm-up. Then we'll work our way up to real weapons, and finally we'll see if you can channel something with your star again. If you're ready."
