“You know that you shouldn’t be hanging out around Andy. Your boyfriend is not a fan of it” Sara said to her.
“The last person I should be taking relationship advice is from you. In case you have forgotten, I would very much like to remind you of what you did to Daniel. He is still a mess because of you, so please, don’t come here to tell me what I can and can’t do in my relationship” Kayla said to her with distaste.
“Would you ever let go of the hate you feel for me? I admit that I have made a lot of mistakes and I am sorry” Sara said to her.
“I heard you the first time. I just don’t think I want you around me, not anymore” Kayla said to her.

Kayla looked at her and saw the dejected look in her eyes. Kayla knew that she wanted Sara back in her life but at what cost? What was the price she was going to have to pay for that to happen? Sara ruined her life and almost ruined her relationship and Kayla didn’t think that she could forgive that. Sara got up from the table and as though Andy had taken the cue, he sat on it and looked at her. Kayla rubbed her temples and sighed, not knowing what to do.

“What was that about?” he asked her.
“She wants a second chance. I don’t think I can give that” Kayla said to him.
“A second chance? What? Did she get into a fight with Keisha?” Andy asked her.
“I really didn’t care enough to know but I think she did and she is getting really lonely. I don’t understand why she would want to replace Keisha so easily though and I don’t care. I already have enough things to worry about right now and I am not about to add one more person to that list” she said to him.

The rest of lunch was pretty quiet after that. Her mini episode with Sara was more than enough mental drain for her. She had her lunch and then headed back to her class. With Aurora’s birthday coming up, the least she could do was get her a gift, even though she wasn’t invited to the party. She knew that leaving school now was going to be a bad option so she stayed till the end of the day and jumped into her car, having Andy walk her to the parking lot and stopped by her car.

“Would you come around tomorrow?” he asked her.
“Today was pretty boring and draining. I want to come around but if it would be anything like today, I doubt if I would. Also, Diana is still under the weather. She would need me to be there. I need to take her to the hospital, if she isn’t better by the time I get home” Kayla said to him.
“I didn’t know that you and Diana already fixed up. How did that happen?” Andy asked her.
“You would be surprised. I really don’t want to talk about it. I just need to get home and far away from people. I need my space and I need the quiet that comes with it” she said to him.
“You need to rest. I would call you when I get home. Also, I hope you and Davis are okay. You barely spoke about him today. Worse, you barely spoke to him. I just hope that the both of you find a balance to the whole drama and I hope you can both manage it enough so that Daryl and Diana falling out doesn’t have to necessarily mean you and Davis falling out” Andy said to her.
“Yeah. Thanks” she said to him as she started the car and drove off.

The last thing she needed was Andy’s voice ringing in her head. It was going to leave her distracted and she knew it. A break in her relationship had crossed her mind a couple of times today and she was giving in to the thought. She was considering it. She might not have been willing to admit it but Andy was right. She had barely spoken to Davis today and that was because he hadn’t reached out to her. Maybe he had but she had her phone switched off all day. There was no possible way she could have known. She got to the front of her house and the gates opened automatically. She sighed as she drove in. when she parked the car, she unzipped her backpack and pulled out her phone. She turned it on and the messages started to drop in.

“I have been calling you, texting you! Should I be worried?”
“Alright, I don’t know what is going on here but Diana said you are asleep. I would try again tomorrow. Call me if you can tonight. I would pick up, I promise”
“Kayla! Are you kidding me? Why is your phone switched off? Is your phone bad? Do you need me to get you another one? Are you on your way to school? Is this because I couldn’t come over yesterday or drive you to school today? Babe, if I could, I would. I can’t even make it to school today. Daniel is in a really bad shape and he needs someone there for him. His mom didn’t know any other person to call, plus I am his best friend. You have to understand. Call me before you go to school”
“Kayla! I am losing my mind. I am heading down to your place right now”
“Diana said you drove yourself to school. Are you doing this on purpose? This is sick”
“Alright, I am just going to stop trying to reach out and I am heading back to Daniel’s”
“Your classes should be over now. Do you plan on ignoring me throughout the day?”

She sighed and she looked at the missed calls. He had called her almost fifty times. She rubbed her temples and looked at the parking garage. His car wasn’t there so that meant that he wasn’t in her house. Her phone beeped and she looked at it, it was another text.
