Chap 1 Mother's Advice

There once was an 18 year old girl named Millie, a kind-hearted extrovert. Despite growing up with a broken family, with no father figure, she had her mother for support. At only 8 months old, her mother discovered that her husband had been unfaithful, and that his mistress was, in fact, the legal wife, and the she was the other woman.

This betrayal brought her mother to a state of sadness and despair, causing her to contemplate ending her own life. However, Millie's mother chose to push forward, raising her alone, since her father didn't want her. Mel's mother would only cry, begged forgiveness to her daughter of the thought of leaving her.

(6 years and 3 months later)

As a small child her mother always sleep with her cuddling and would tell her 

"Mel, my only light, even if the world is unfair and cruel, always be kind, to your friends, love ones, and even your enemies. Learn to forgive those who have hurt or wronged you" "give what you can give to those in need" 

"Learn to love everything about the world, whether good or bad" 

then Mel would thought why?, and every advice her mother told her she reply

"Mommy..... I don't understand, why?..."

Mel's mother would smile and answer 

"Because dear, you don't know when or how your life is going to end, you don't want to rest with regrets in your heart" while pointing at Mel's chest.

'I know you don't understand my words completely now, but as you grow older, you will endure trials that hurt your heart. The world may seem cruel and unfair, but you must be kind, forgiving, and loving, not only to others, but to yourself, okay?"

little Mel nodding her head in agreement with her mothers advice.

"Pinky swear?" her mother asked.

Mel broke free from her mother's embrace and faced her then with her right arm raised,

she said "I, Mellie, Mommy's daughter, pinky swear to always be kind, helpful, loving, and forgiving, and to always be with mommy" then she locked her pinky with her mothers. They both laughed and went to bed that night.

From that day forward, Millie made it her mission to live life to the fullest, to accept the world with love and happies, no matter hard the challenges she may encounter. 

However, humans, having an imperfect nature, Millie's good-nature was often taken advantage of. She found herself being targeted by her peers, who saw her more as a source for what they desired, whether it be things, food, or even money. Unfortunately, many of these individuals came from her father's side of the family, who accepted her and her mother, but treated them as scapegoats for their own desires. They often used their kindness as a means to satisfy their own ambitions, abusing their goodwill and guilt-tripping them into agreeing to their demands when they refused.

Through this Millie realized that many people would try to take advantage of her kind-hearted nature, but she remained unwavering. She knew that while being kind and forgiving was a strength, it could also attract individuals who sought to take advantage of her generosity. Despite this, she chose to view it as a lesson in discernment, a chance to learn who was genuine and who sought to exploit her goodwill.

Although she did meet some people who were genuine, a small handful who became her friends, she learned trust from them. While the number of these friends was not large, she was incredibly grateful to have them. She realized that having a small group of friends who truly cared for her was more valuable than having many acquaintances who did not.

Millie chose to leave the negative people to the hands of karma, saying "Let karma deal with them, they may not get what's coming to them now, but they surely will eventually."
