The university's Halloween-themed party was in full swing, with students dressed in all sorts of creative and spooky costumes. The room was filled with laughter, eerie decorations, and the occasional scream from the haunted house setup in the corner.
Jaehyun, dressed as a vampire, was making his way through the crowd when he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and came face-to-face with Sungho, who was dressed as a ghost. The sight of Sungho's pale face and dark eyes startled Jaehyun, and he clutched his chest dramatically.
"Oh no, a ghost! I'm having a heart attack!" Jaehyun exclaimed, pretending to stagger backward.
Sungho rolled his eyes and quickly stepped closer, placing a finger on Jaehyun's lips. "Shh, you're going to ruin the party," he whispered, his breath warm against Jaehyun's skin.
Jaehyun's heart skipped a beat, and he felt his cheeks flush. "Uh, right. Sorry," he mumbled, feeling a bit flustered.
Sungho smirked, clearly enjoying Jaehyun's reaction. "You know, for a vampire, you're pretty easy to scare."
Jaehyun tried to regain his composure. "Well, maybe it's because this ghost is too convincing," he said, giving Sungho a playful nudge.
They continued to chat, their banter light and filled with laughter. As the night went on, they found themselves gravitating towards each other, sharing stories and jokes.
At one point, they decided to take a break from the crowded dance floor and stepped outside to get some fresh air. The cool night breeze was a welcome relief from the stuffy party atmosphere.
Jaehyun leaned against the wall, looking up at the starry sky. "You know, this has been one of the best Halloweens I've ever had," he admitted.
Sungho smiled, standing next to him. "Same here. I didn't expect to have this much fun."
Jaehyun turned to face Sungho, his heart racing again. "Hey, Sungho... about earlier. When you shushed me, it kind of made my heart flutter."
Sungho raised an eyebrow, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Oh? So the vampire has a heart after all?"
Jaehyun laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, I guess so. And it seems like this ghost has a way of making it beat faster."
Sungho's smile softened, and he took a step closer. "Well, maybe this ghost isn't so scary after all."
Jaehyun's breath hitched as Sungho closed the distance between them. "Maybe not," he whispered.
In that moment, the world seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them under the starry sky. Jaehyun leaned in, and their lips met in a gentle, lingering kiss.
When they finally pulled apart, Sungho's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Happy Halloween, Jaehyun."
Jaehyun grinned, his heart still racing. "Happy Halloween, Sungho."
As they walked back into the party, hand in hand, they knew that this Halloween would be one they would never forget.
