Sungho was buried in his books at the college library, his glasses slipping down his nose as he scribbled notes furiously. Finals were approaching, and he was determined to ace every single one of them. The library was his sanctuary, a place where he could focus without distractions.
Jaehyun, on the other hand, had a different approach to college life. He strolled into the library, his usual confident swagger in place. Spotting Sungho, he grinned and made his way over.
Jaehyun: "Hey, Sungho! Fancy seeing you here. Studying hard, I see?"
Sungho looked up, slightly annoyed at the interruption but couldn't help but smile at Jaehyun's infectious energy.
Sungho: "Jaehyun, shouldn't you be studying too? Finals are next week."
Jaehyun pulled out a chair and sat down, leaning in closer to Sungho.
Jaehyun: "Why study when I can just charm my way through life?"
Sungho rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a chuckle.
Sungho: "Charm won't get you through finals, Jaehyun."
Jaehyun winked, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
Jaehyun: "Maybe not, but it might get me through to you."
Sungho felt his cheeks heat up. He quickly looked back at his notes, trying to hide his blush.
Sungho: "You're impossible."
Jaehyun laughed, a sound that seemed to fill the entire library.
Jaehyun: "And yet, you still tolerate me. How about a break? Coffee on me?"
Sungho hesitated. He had a lot to study, but the idea of a break with Jaehyun was tempting.
Sungho: "Fine, but just a quick one."
They walked to the campus café, Jaehyun chatting animatedly about everything and nothing. Sungho found himself relaxing, enjoying Jaehyun's company more than he cared to admit.
As they sat down with their coffees, Jaehyun leaned in, his expression suddenly serious.
Jaehyun: "You know, Sungho, I really admire how dedicated you are. It's one of the things I like most about you."
Sungho looked up, surprised by the sincerity in Jaehyun's voice.
Sungho: "Thanks, Jaehyun. That means a lot."
Jaehyun smiled, his usual playful demeanor returning.
Jaehyun: "So, what do I have to do to get a kiss from the most responsible guy on campus?"
Sungho nearly choked on his coffee, his eyes wide.
Sungho: "W-What?"
Jaehyun leaned closer, his face inches from Sungho's.
Jaehyun: "You heard me."
Sungho's heart raced. He had always found Jaehyun attractive, but he never thought Jaehyun felt the same way. Gathering his courage, he leaned in and pressed a quick, shy kiss to Jaehyun's lips.
Jaehyun's eyes widened in surprise, then he grinned.
Jaehyun: "Well, that was unexpected. But I liked it."
Sungho blushed furiously, looking away.
Sungho: "Don't get used to it."
Jaehyun laughed, a warm, genuine sound.
Jaehyun: "Too late. I'm already hooked."
And so, their quirky and unexpected romance began, filled with playful banter, stolen kisses, and a deepening bond that neither of them had anticipated.
