My name is Mischa Parciak, and today, I play in my first Major League game.
I'm not pitching. Not yet. I'm playing CF, batting 9th. I'm writing this from the dugout, waiting for this game to begin, and I am scared. I'm ready, but I'm scared. If we were at home, I'd feel slightly better, but, alas, we're away, and I have no idea what's going to happen.
Will I get stuff thrown at me? Probably! Who knows? Time will tell.
The guys have been more receptive than I thought they would. They're all very nice. I'm still starstruck over some of them. Like, what do you MEAN I had breakfast with THE Francisco Lindor this morning? It's still crazy to me and I've gotta take a while to get used to it.
