Burning Gaze

Azure's P.O.V

As I woke up I felt weigh resting ontop of my head. As I looked up I saw Jake's head resting on mine and his arm tangled on my waist.

I felt my cheeks heat up as I remembered the kiss from yesterday. It's true i loved him, but we had yet to confess. Then I remembered him kissing back. His soft warm lips moving in sync with my own. Oh how I loved that feeling.

I was lost in thought I didn't realize Jake was fully awake by now.

"Morning, Azure." his voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I couldnt help but to look down at his lips wondering if that did happen or not.

Jake's P.O.V.

I wake up to hear Asure shuffling in my chest, deciding if move or not. I mentally chuckled. She was just too cute sometimes.

"Morning, Azure." I said she turned to me as if she didnt notice I was awake. She was blushing? What? Why is she blushing? I thought. Then I noticed her eyes looking down at my lips, then it hit me. I kissed her. She kissed me. I felt the heat radiationg off my face and I turned away.

Ughhhh she must think I'm an idiot! Ugh, make an excuse! Now!

"About yesterday, Azure, you see, I was very tired and I didn't know what I was doing, sorry if I made you uncomfortable."

Azure's P.O.V.

So thats why he kissed me. Yeah, it makes sence, it was late and the night before was pretty rough. What did I expect. He was just confused about his emotions. Yet, why do I feel sad? , disapointed?

"No worries. I understand, you must've felt confused about what you were feeling. Its cool." I said trying to sound as happy as I could, but failed. It came out with a very disappointed tone to it.

Jake's P.O.V.

"No worries. I understand, you must've felt confused about what you were feeling. Its cool." She said, we've been friends long enough to recognize that tone. Damn it! You idiot! You made her feel bad after all she's done for you.

Before I could say anything she got up with a sharp swift movement, her back facing md and said, "I'm going to get us some food, have the fire ready when I come back."

She jumped up grabbing her katanas.
I didnt like that tone. It was cold and demanding.

"Yeah. Alright."

Azura's P.O.V

He didnt even say anything! I guess its true. He was just confused.

I felt a burning gaze. Maybe a couple of meters behind me.

"Jake. I thought I sai---"

"Jake?" The voice questioned. This is not Jake. Its voice was deep and raspy, very attractive-for older woman that is-.

I turned around, slightly scared.
By the looks, he was a very build man. About 3 inches taller then me. I couldnt make out his facial looks since he was wearing a hood.

Dont worry if anything happens Jake should be close from here... not that I cant defend myself.

I took my katanas from my back making a sharp sound of metal against metal. I was holding them infront of me as in a x.

"Listen here, pal. Im not in the mood for random forest creatures stalking me around so, leave. Or I wont hesitate to harm you." I spat with venom dripping off each word I said. I also finished that sentence with the deathliest glare possible.
The hooded man chuckled deeply.

Without any warning I charged at him. My katanas moving in a x motion cuting an x on his lower abdomen.

The man hissed in pain as he held his stomach in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

"Tch. Pathetic. You couldnt even put up a fight." I said in a mocking matter.

He was laying on the ground his head curved up and his arms holding desperatly his belly.

"Its usless if you stop the bleeding or not. You see, my katanas have enough poison to kill an elephant in an instant; only I am inmune to the venom."

I leaned up to his level and agressivly pulled down his hood.

My eyes widened, then narrowed, then they were full of hate and disgust, when I saw the mark on his face.

"You. You are one of them."

"Took you long enough. Azure."
