Yn's POV After visiting hours were over, I, along with Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Seonwoo, Jungwon, and Riki, stayed by Angel's side. Throughout our time there, I noticed Jungwon was unusually quiet, though he managed to smile occasionally. My heart ached with the realization that I had failed to inform him about Heaven. Even though she was stillborn, he should have had the chance to hold her and take pictures with her. Instead, all he has left of her is a keepsake box, a painful reminder of what could have been.
When we returned home, Jungwon walked in without a word, and I quickly followed him. He went straight to his room, and before I could step inside, he shut the door. I knocked gently, and he opened it almost instantly. Tears streamed down his cheeks, and my heart sank at the sight. I frowned, reaching up to rub his cheek gently. Without a word, he pulled me into his room and wrapped his arms around me tightly. I returned the embrace, rubbing his back, fully aware of his pain and the comfort he desperately needed.
I managed to guide him to the bed, where we laid together. He continued to cry into my shoulder as I hummed softly, hoping to soothe him. Gradually, his sobs subsided, and he looked up at me, searching for answers.
“Why???” he asked, his voice trembling.
“I heard what you all told Jinnie... I didn't want to hurt any of you,” I replied, my heart heavy with regret. “I didn’t even know I was pregnant. If I had, I wouldn’t have pushed myself so hard. Honestly, after giving birth, I wasn’t fully present. I know it was wrong, and I wish I could go back and change things, but I can’t... I’m so sorry for that.”
He looked at me with understanding in his eyes and nodded slowly.
“I know we’re all hurting, but please... no more secrets,” he pleaded softly.
I nodded in agreement, leaning in to give him a gentle kiss. We lay there together, wrapped in each other's warmth, finding solace in our shared grief...
