Eric Fanfic
Maya had known Eric for almost all of her life. She despised him, but no one knew why. Will Eric be able to figure out the reason, or will Maya suddenly realize she's been mistaken all these years about her feelings?
Maya's Pov: "What is he doing here?" I snapped my head around to look at Max. "We had a soccer game last night and he crashed here after. We were going to hangout today anyways." My brother said with an annoyed tone. Eric's gaze on me not wavering. I felt shivers down my spine as I turned to make a run to my bed room. "I thought you were hungry?" Eric said sarcastically as I made my way past him. "I've lost my appetite." I sneered. I hurried back to my room as fast as my little legs could carry me. My heart was racing so fast I thought it was going to burst out of my chest. I quickly entered my room and locked my door behind me. I set down on the edge of my bed and stared at the floor. "Why can't I get away from you?" I sighed finally calming my heart down.
Eric's Pov: It's the same every time I see her. I know she doesn't like me and that makes me want to annoy her even more. "I see she still doesn't like me." I laughed as I looked at Max. "I don't know what her problem with you is. She's been like this for years." He shook his head as he spoke. My first memory of Maya wasn't that bad. She was a small little auburn haired girl with freckles all over her cheeks. She was pretty to me, but she wasn't super social with people. Over the years, she's hasn't changed much. She's still as pretty as she was and she still isn't social. The only thing that's changed is how she acts when she sees me. I haven't been that big of an asshole to her over the years, I just made fun of her a few times but it was just harmless jokes. Why does she hate me that much though? I turned backed to face Max. "What are we doing today?" I asked. "I'm not sure. What are you thinking?" He looked at me while he took a sip of his water. "I think we should hangout with your sister today. We can invite her and her friends out to do something." I suggested. Max looked at me wide eyed. "You wanna hangout with Maya? She's not going to agree to come." "It's worth a shot." I sighed.
Maya's Pov: I had fell back asleep without even realizing it. The sun shined violently through the small crack in between my curtains. That's what woke me up. I rolled over and looked at the time. It was now 10 am. I got up from my bed and headed to my bathroom to get dressed. I showered and brushed my teeth. I was currently standing in my closet looking for my outfit for the day when i heard a knock on my door. "I'm coming." I stated as I walked to the door. I opened the door expecting my brother, but I opened the door to see Eric. "What do you want Eric?" I asked forgetting that I was standing there wrapped in a towel. "Well first I'd like you to put actual clothes on. Then you're hanging out with me and Max, so dress comfortably. Also text your friends, they can come too." He said as he turned quickly to leave down the hallway back to Max's room. "Shit!" I swiftly closed the door. I had totally forgotten that he was here and I had nothing on but a towel. I'm so stupid. "I'M NOT GOING!!!" I yelled hoping he could hear me. I walked back to my closet and just stared at the clothes. I didn't even want to leave my room now. As I stared at my clothes, my phone started to ring. I looked at the screen to see my best friend Jazmine's name pop up. "Good morning Jaz." I sighed as I picked up the phone. "What happened to you?" She questioned. "You haven't even been up that long." "Eric happened. Like always." I said. "He never sleeps at his own house, does he? What happened now?" She said curiously. "I don't even want to repeat what just happened." I groaned. "Are Kevin and Jacob hanging out with us today?" "That's actually why I called you. They said Eric texted them inviting all of us to hangout. And he specifically told them to make sure you come." She stated. "What is he planning?" I questioned. "I'm not going. I'd rather rot in my bed than go out in public with him." "Please just go Maya." Jaz begged. "Fine." I groaned. "Hurry up and get here and help me with my outfit." I walked to my closet to pick out my outfit for today. "What to wear? He said comfortable. Where is he planning on taking us?" I looked at all my clothes and my sight set on my favorite green sweater. I picked it up and smiled. "This is what I'm wearing. Now for pants." I settled for some basic light washed jeans and some white shoes.

When I finished changing, I stepped in front of my full length mirror. "This is cute." I thought while smiling. That's when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Who is it?" I asked. "It's Jaz. I thought you knew I was coming over." She scoffed. I scurried to unlock my door. "JAZ!!" I yelled as I hugged her. "I'm glad you're excited to see me, but you need to finish getting ready. Kevin and Jacob will be here in 10 minutes." She said. We hurried back into my room to finish my outfit. "I think I'm just going to put my hair up because I really don't want to mess with it." I sighed looking at Jaz in the mirror as she fixed her hair. I put my hair up in a messy bun and put on light makeup.

I looked at Jaz. "What do you think?" I said as I did a little spin. "Let's give a round of applause for you not looking homeless." She joked while clapping her hands. Suddenly we heard voices downstairs. Kevin and Jacob had arrived and were currently conversing with Eric and Max on the sofa. "I think that's our cue." Jaz spoke will finishing the last touches on her lipstick. "I guess it is. Today better not turn out to be shit." I scoffed as we walked out my room to the stairs. "It won't be. The boys and I will make sure of it." She said reassuring me. We walked down the stairs to see the boys sitting on the sofa chatting away. They didn't notice us at first so we decided to just listen in on the conversation. "How'd you guys get her to come?" Max asked. "It wasn't us. Jaz did all the work." Jacob said not looking up from his phone. "Let's hope she doesn't look homeless." Eric scoffed. It was always like this. He never had anything nice to say about me. Commenting on my hair, looks, or anything he could pick on that day. That's why I couldn't stand him. He may see these comments as jokes, but every time it kills my confidence a little more. "That's not nice." Jaz spoke loudly causing all the boys to turn around quickly. "Oh. How long have you guys been there?" Max asked. Eric was staring at us wide eyed looking like a deer caught in headlights. "Long enough to hear Eric's smartass comment." She scoffed. "I didn't mean for it to sound like that." Eric said as he stood up from his spot. "Are we going somewhere or not?" I spoke bluntly. "If not I'm going back upstairs." "Maya. He was just joking." Max said looking at me. "I don't care. Are we going or not?" I said clearly getting annoyed. "Let's go guys." Jacob said trying to deescalate everything. "Yeah. Let's get going." Kevin copied. Jaz grabbed my hand and pulled me out the front door. "Don't pay attention to that jackass. Let's just have fun today." She stated as we climbed in to the backseat of Max's car. Today was about to be absolute hell and I knew it.
