Eric's Pov:
"Aria. What are yo doing here?" I asked shocked to see her.
"I haven't seen you in forever. Why do look so unhappy to see me?" She asked acting all sad.
"We literally broke up for the last time a month ago. Do you think I'd want to see you?" I sneered.
She looked at me surprised. I heard my name being yelled by the chef.
"My food is ready. I need to get back to my friends." I spoke bluntly. "Max come help me."
Max came and we carried the food back to our table, leaving Aria and her friends standing there speechless.
"What did she want?" Max asked.
"I don't even know, but I couldn't care less." I said while sitting the food on the table. "Here's the food.'Maya's Pov:
I watched from afar the interaction between Eric and Aria. He looked tense and it wasn't pleasant to see. Suddenly the chef called saying our food was ready and he called for Max to help. I felt relieved. As he walked back to our table, he looked troubled. Why was she here? What did she want? Millions of questions ran through my head.
"Here's the food." Eric said passing the orders around.
Everyone thanked him for the food and started eating. Aria and her friends had ordered their food and set at the table next to us. I could hear them saying rude things about him. I sat there thinking, then suddenly I don't know what happened. I stood up and turned towards them.
"If you nasty bitches don't have anything nice to say, go some where else. Frankly I'm sure Eric has made himself clear when he expressed he doesn't want anything to do with Aria anymore."
Everyone stopped and stared at me. I wasn't the one to be confrontational, but this absolutely pissed me off.
"Someone thinks she's got balls now. I wouldn't keep going if I were you." One of Aria's minions sneered.
Aria had this smug look on her face.
"I couldn't care less what you bitches think you can do to me. All I know is that Eric could definitely do so much better than a whore like you." I replied.
"Maya sit down." Max stated trying to keep me from causing a fight.
"No. Let her keep going. It seems she's got a lot to say." Aria welcomed.
All I could see was red. I don't know why I was so mad. I didn't even like Eric or care about his feelings, but I wasn't going to let this bitch fuck up our day.
"Maya." Eric spoke. "I can handle this, please sit down."
I looked at Eric trying to read his expression. His eyes looked sad, but he also looked absolutely pissed. I stood there for a moment just staring at him. After a moment, I sat down. I was clearly pissed, but this wasn't my battle.
"Aria. I don't know what you expected to happen this time, but when we broke up I made it clear there would never be another chance. I'm tired of the back and forth with you and I need you to understand I no longer want you." Eric spoke angrily. "Stop messing with me or my friends. Don't call me. Don't come near me. And most importantly leave my friends alone."
This was my first time ever seeing him this mad. This wasn't the Eric I seen everyday. It was different.
"You'll want me back soon, sweetheart." Aria spoke confidently. "Oh and as for your friends, we wouldn't dare mess with them. However, the little one will get her karma one day." And with that Aria and her friends walked away.Aria's Pov:
"This isn't over." I thought to myself as me and my friends walked away. "Eric is mine and will only ever be mine. You'll get what you deserve when it's time, Maya."Maya's Pov:
We set there for a moment, nobody saying anything. I was staring at the table when I heard Eric speak up.
"Thank you Maya." He spoke softly trying to look me in the eyes. "Let's me know if they try anything. I don't want you to get hurt."
I never lifted my head. I knew I had a target on my back now, but honestly I didn't care. Eric was still staring at me when Jaz spoke up.
"I know we were supposed to spend the day here, but I think we should leave."
Eric sighed. "I'm sorry she ruined our fun. I didn't know she'd be here, but if you all agree we should leave then I guess we should."
We all agreed to leave. We got up from our table and threw away our trash and headed for the cars.
We all made it to the cars and said our goodbyes to Kevin and Jacob. We would see them later anyways.
I made my way to my seat in the car. Jaz looked over at me in the car.
"Are you ok?" She mouthed so no one could hear.
I shook my head. All I was worried about was Eric. He was the only thing on my mind.
The whole car ride back to our place was silent. It was suffocating. When we arrived back to my place, Eric seemed extremely upset.
"Are you staying the night?" I asked Jaz. We had a project we needed to finish and decided we would do it tomorrow.
"Yeah. I didn't bring any clothes, can I borrow yours?" She asked walking towards the front door.
"For sure. I think you had left some of your clothes here anyways." I replied.
Eric and Max were right behind us talking, when I heard Eric speak up.
"Guys I think I'm going to go back to my place tonight. I'll see you guys later."
I knew he was upset, but I didn't expect him to go home. He never went home unless he needed too, so we were concerned for him. We stood there looking at him.
"Are you sure man? You know we don't mind if you stay at our place." Max spoke concerned.
"I'm sure. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Eric said sadly.
We all watched as he walked into his front door.
"I hope he's ok." Jaz spoke.
I didn't know how Eric felt, but it hurt knowing he was upset. Before I knew it I was texting him.Maya:
I hope you're ok. I know I'm not the person you want to talk to, but if you need to talk I'm here.Eric:
Thanks but I'm good. Don't worry about me.And that was all he replied. I stared at my phone hoping he'd text again, but that was the only text I received that night.
I laid in my bed next to Jaz staring at the ceiling until I drifted off to sleep.
