The Future of the Potters {HP/PJO} {WTM}

Chapter Eight

Braeden had moved so he grab hold of his daughter, Apollo had tensed feeling as if something big would happen. Sirius had also tensed and was now staring at a confused James. Then the next bit started.

James had walked by, he was headed to the kitchens after potions, he liked surprising Cassia randomly with sweets. He loved seeing her smile, along with her eyes lighting up once she's sees him.

Braeden smiled a little bit, he was happy with how James treated Cassia.

He heard running and knew it was the paranoid Severus Snape running yet again. He kept walking until something made him stop, he could see Severus panicking, completely inside a shadow.

Severus had a cold panicky feeling overcome him. James felt the tenseness his on screen counterpart did. Will had snuck closer to James which clued Apollo in to needing to tend to James.

Feeling he would regret this, but also knew it was the right thing to do, he reached in and pulled him out. Of course Severus freaked out, and used his new spell, "Sectumsempra!"and James flew back against the wall as blood started to soak into his shirt and fall from his neck as a cut appeared to spread right across his neck. "JAMES!" came the heartbreaking scream of Cassia Le Fay.

"WHAT DID HE DO?!" Cassia screeched as she was engulfed in flames. James by now was bleeding on the floor and Will and Apollo were quickly tending to him with Apollo's daughter, Poppy Pomfrey jumping in to help while Alice stood off to the side to see if the three of them needed an extra set of hands. Will knew his fate as he quietly told Apollo so they were both working on making his recovery a bit quicker.

Everyone's attention was on a fiery Cassia who was bearing her fangs from her animagus at Severus who looked very afraid. "I WANT HIM DEAD! LET ME AT HIM!" she demanded of her father and now her grandfather who was helping keep her in place.

A few minutes before, Pandora had frozen catching a lot of attention, especially as she became more frightened. "We have to find James, he was leaving potions," she shakily said, "Can somebody the teachers to go down there please," she added to the crowd and a few people ran off to find teachers. There had been suspicions that Pandora was a seer, others just knew she was as odd as Xeno, making them a perfect couple, but to see her so shaken up made others curious as to what she saw, somebody had ran for Madam Pomfrey just in case.

Frank, Alice, Marlene, and Sirius were walking together as they met up with Regulus. But then the demigods noticed the brothers had frozen and then whispered, "James," and ran off.

Regulus turned his attention to his brother and noticed his skin was paler than its normal pale. He then realized his brother had sensed what would happen to James just now and that their father must've guessed it as Orion had placed a hand on Sirius' shoulder.

They didn't even think of shifting, Regulus had managed to shift the previous week but couldn't get running down yet and the whole group saw James get blasted against the walls, full of cuts, blood seeping down from his neck and he had trouble breathing as he was choking. "JAMES!" Cassia screamed, and Sirius and Regulus felt something snap and looked and saw hints of wings that have sprouted from Cassia's back.

Some students looked back, and yes, there were faint wings sprouted from her back. Only James, Harry, Braeden, Hecate, and Lou Ellen could see the wings as they her relatives and mate.

They rushed forward as teachers were heard behind them and Cassia just trying to put pressure on the cut on James' neck as Severus moved closer, but stopped seeing Cassia's now fiery red eyes, "Don't you touch him!" she snarled and heard the Black brothers growling. "Oh Merlin!" Minerva was heard as she saw the scene, "What happened?" Slughorn said as Madam Pomfrey came in and made a startled sound, she tried to move towards James but heard a smaller growl from the girl (which the group knew was Cassia's fox animagus) currently holding his neck, "Madam Pomfrey, Cassia's creature came out early, James is her mate," Alice said.
