Cage

Once there were three little birds,
Living inside a one little cage

Light brown, dark brown and black,
three little bodies, inside a one little cage.

They sang and sang and sang,
From the dawn, till the dusk
And at the night,
they scratched the iron bars,
with their six little claws.

After days and months and years,
they were one scratch away from freedom.

With the winning strike,
three little figures,
stepped into the night.

Light brown, dark brown and black,
Disappeared into the shadows,
One to the left, one to the right and
One straight forward.

Little light brown,
Afraid of being found,
Built a nice, safe cage
To spend the rest of its days.

Little dark brown,
Would travel around,
Helping little birds,
For breaking out.

And little black one
Would fool other little ones,
into the cage,
to hear them sing.

Yellow and blue and green little bodies

They will sing and sing and sing,
From the dawn, till the dusk...

They will sing and sing and sing,From the dawn, till the dusk
