I find myself waking up somewhere unfamiliar. A small island with a tree in the middle of it, surrounded by a vast ocean all set among a yellow sky. The entire area seems to be tinted partially beige.
Ah, so it wasn't a dream.
I look down at my hands, both of them have a brown artists glove on them. It's seemingly not even just an artists glove, being connected to a sleeve that itself leads to a skintight brown undershirt.
On my shoulders are gray shoulder plates made out of fabric, seemingly keeping the scarf that I'm apparently wearing from falling off. The scarf itself is striped brown and gray.
Underneath my right shoulder pad and leading to my left hip is a strap. On this strap are vials filled with liquids. The vials are capped with seven heart shaped objects on them, each presumably representing the human SOUL traits.
Kindness, Justice, Bravery, Perseverance, Integrity, Patience, and... "Determination"
Although I don't know if it actually is Determination. After all, Determination is something all humans, all Lightners, hold. If the Red Human SOUL trait isn't Determination then my best theories are either Freedom or Curiosity.
I feel around on my back and 'unsheathe' the thing upon my back.
It's a giant paintbrush, my equivalent to Broomie.
Although I don't know if the Balance between Creation and Destruction is a real thing (in the way that UnderVerse fanfiction tends to portray it. I'm aware of the laws of conservation of mass energy, which I do consider a Balance between Creation and Destruction), just to make sure, I shift my paintbrush to something else.
A giant pair of scissors, with a green handle or grip or whatever it's called. I pull them apart, converting them into two blades.
My Twin Blades of Destruction.
Yes, that's a very Anime name. This is on purpose.
If the Multiverse gets too full, gets too close to collapsing because I created too many universes, these Blades shall be used to cull enough worlds to restore the Multiverse back to near perfect health.
I put the blades back together, hearing a satisfying 'click' that tells me they're connected once again. I turn the blades back into a paintbrush and think of something to make to test my powers.
Ah, yes, a mirror.
The paintbrush is unwieldy in my hands, yes I am able to carry it, it's just difficult to find a position to hold it in.
Holding tightly to my paintbrush, I attempt to use my magic to coat the bristles in ink. After a few tries, I am successful.
"Ah, how does this go again?" I say to myself, scratching my head. All I've made so far is a small puddle of ink on the ground. At this, I suddenly fall. Seems I'm not used to this body yet.
But when I fell, a small part of my face landed in the ink puddle. The right side of my face.
Oh, of course this was gonna happen.
Can't be an Ink Sans expy without the ink stain on your right cheek!
Anyway, after a few more attempts and a minute break at some point, I conjure up a mirror.
I finally get to take a good look at myself from a third person perspective.
My hair is brown, outside of the hair loop on the right side of my face. The hair loop is seemingly changing colors. The colors that are... most connected to my current emotions? Ah, whatever. Not that important yet. Also that ink stain is still there. I rub at it for a few seconds but nothing happens, it doesn't even smear.
I get closer to mirror and make sure my hair is out of my eyes as I look into them. My eyes are... changing shapes and colors? My iris and my pupil seem to be changing shapes and colors, seeming to shift from a red question mark surrounded by purple to a cyan exclamation mark surrounded by green.
This is so cool!
I take a few steps back from the mirror and take in the rest of my appearance.
I'm wearing baggy brown pants with several pockets on them. Tied around my waist is a grayscale jacket. On my feet I'm wearing toeless socks.
Oh, yeah, my skin is gray.
If you hadn't notice until now, I have the appearance of the Vessel from Deltarune.
Now that I'm finished observing my new appearance I step away from the mirror and begin looking around again. It should be here already, the final thing I asked for.
It doesn't take long to find it, a pure white that doesn't blend in with the 'Doodle Spheres' (god that's a terrible name now that I'm thinking about it) beige.
Something that appears to be a page of white paper. Getting close to it I sense something more to it. I can almost "see" what it really is. I can "see" its code. I can see its story in its purest form.
"THREE HEROES APPEAR AT WORLDS EDGE TO BANISH THE ANGELS HEAVEN"
It is a world.
It is a universe.
It is The Original.
It is Deltarune.
