CHAPTER 83: Inferno Assault
You watched as Shoto, Tenya, and the rest of the team regrouped, sharing relieved smiles and the satisfaction of their hard work. “That was tough,” Ojiro said, wiping sweat from his brow. “But we managed to hold our ground against them.”
“Yeah, we need to work on our synergy,” Tenya replied, adjusting his glasses with a serious expression. “Class B really capitalized on our weaknesses, especially with Juzo softening the ground.”
“Don’t be too hard on yourselves,” Momo chimed in as she joined the group. “We learned a lot from this match. We’ll only get better as we keep practicing.”
On the sidelines, the rest of Class A cheered for their teammates, with Izuku leading the applause. “Great job, everyone! You really pushed yourselves out there!”
“I didn’t expect Juzo to be so effective with his quirk,” Denki added. “It’s like he turned the battlefield into his playground.”
You stepped forward, a thoughtful expression on your face. “You guys did amazing! I loved how you coordinated your attacks. Just remember, we need to anticipate their moves better next time.”
“Right?” Izuku said, his enthusiasm shining through. “You could really see how they played off each other’s strengths.”
You nodded. “Class B is really good at that. We need to learn from their teamwork to improve our own.”
As the students were busy discussing their strategies, Aizawa’s voice cut through the chatter. “Alright, that was an impressive display. Time to prepare for the next battle.”
With that, the atmosphere shifted once again as the students got ready for the fourth match. Team 4 was about to take the stage, featuring Katsuki Bakugo, Hanta Sero, Kyouka Jiro, and Rikido Sato from Class A, facing off against Yosetsu Awase, Kojiro Bondo, Setsuna Tokage, and Togaru Kamakiri from Class B.
Katsuki stood at the front, his expression fierce and determined. “Let’s make this quick,” he growled, cracking his knuckles. “I want to crush them.”
“Focus on teamwork, Bakugo,” Hanta reminded him, shooting him a glance. “We need to coordinate our quirks if we’re going to win.”
Kyouka adjusted her earphone jacks, looking ready to rock. “Just let me know when you’re about to blow something up. I’ll amplify the sound to create some serious distraction.”
“Just keep it under control, Jiro,” Katsuki retorted, but there was a hint of a smirk on his face. “I want to finish this.”
Rikido, carrying a bag of sweets, nodded enthusiastically. “Let’s show them what we’re made of! I can whip up some sugar energy if we need a boost!”
Meanwhile, on the opposite side, Class B was also readying themselves for battle. Yosetsu, with a calm demeanor, surveyed the battlefield. “We need to be smart about this. Bakugo is strong, but we can use their overconfidence against them.”
Setsuna, shifting her forms slightly, nodded. “I can create copies of myself to confuse them. We’ll need to spread them out and create openings.”
Togaru cracked his knuckles with an eager smile. “Let’s see how they handle a little chaos. My quirk will keep them on their toes.”
Aizawa’s voice rang out once more, drawing attention to the battlefield. “Teams, take your positions.”
As both teams moved to their starting points, the air thickened with anticipation. You leaned forward in your seat, eager to see how the match would unfold. “Bakugo’s aggression might be a double-edged sword against a team that can play defensively,” you said to Ochaco, who was sitting next to you.
