Y/N stared at the sky. It was late, and the stars were twinkling. He had decided to take a walk through the town, and had wound up at the outskirts. The festival was in full swing, and the town was filled with people. He had seen many couples walking hand-in-hand, and had even heard a few of them talking about him and Chloe.

He rolled his eyes, and hurried to a less disturbed part of town. He didn't want to be spotted, especially if the media was around. It would only lead to a bunch of questions, and he didn't feel like dealing with that.

"Hey." He heard a voice.

"Oh, hi." He turned, and saw Carmine.

"Hey." She grinned. "I'm glad you showed up. I was beginning to think you were standing me up."

"I'd never stand a girl up. I'm not that kind of guy."

"Good to know."

"So, shall we?"

"We shall." Carmine grabbed his hand, and the two of them walked through the festival. It was a nice festival, Y/N had to admit. There were booths and stands everywhere, and the air was filled with the smells of food and incense. There were people everywhere, and the music was loud and festive.

"This is nice." Y/N said, as the two of them walked.

"Yeah." Carmine agreed. "We usually don't bring out bouncy houses, but since tourism is high, well...might as well."

"Bouncy houses?" Y/N looked around, and saw a line of kids, waiting to get into the bouncy houses. He smiled. "I remember when I was a kid, and I used to love those."

"Really? Didn't take you for the type."

"Hey, everyone's gotta be a kid sometime."

"True." The two of them continued walking, enjoying the sights and sounds of the festival. There was a lot to see, and Y/N was taking it all in.

"You know, this is the first time I've been to a festival like this."

"Really? Why?"

"I'm not much of a partier. I'm usually in the studio, or at my house. Or doing, well, other things."

"Ah."

They continued walking, stopping to buy some food. They talked and laughed, enjoying the night. It was a pleasant experience, and Y/N was enjoying himself.

"So, what do you think of the festival?" Carmine asked, as they ate their food.

"It's great. I love the music, and the atmosphere."

"I'm glad. My dad and mom always threw a party, back in the day. A real party. It was wild. I was a little kid, so I didn't get to see much of it, but I remember bits and pieces."

"Huh. Well, you're the first person who's told me about their parents throwing parties."

"Yeah. They're...not around anymore, so Grandma and Gramps're taking care of me and Kieran. At least until I can get a place of my own, when I'm a little older."

"Really? Sorry to hear that. My parents are gone, too."

"Yeah. It sucks. But, I've got a good support system. My friends, my grandparents. My little brother. They're there for me, and I appreciate it."

"I know what you mean. When my parents died, I was a mess. I had no idea what to do. But, the support system was there for me, and I managed to get through it."

"Yeah. Family is important."

"Indeed."

"So, what brought you out here, anyway? It's not like we're close to a city." Carmine took another bite.
