Mid March, 2078
On March 14th, the WHO declared a Khanovirus pandemic. Ordering countries to take radical steps to halt the spread of the pestilence. The meeting took place on the 15th. With Jenna Hernandez representing the Coalition, Lara Lake of the Left party, The Surgeon General of the Union, Mason DeSantis of the Patriots and of course Alex Garner all in attendance. The zoom meeting kicked off.
"We want a mask mandate and a stay at home order" said the Surgeon General.
"My people will never stand for that" said DeSantis.
"Oh shut the heck up DeSantis, your father had one of the highest death rates in the last pandemic and you want us to follow your advice" said Garner.
"Oh shut the F*** up you spoiled northern brat" said DeSantis.
"Spoiled? I built my political career on my own, I built this union with my bare hands and you have the right to call me spoiled when you got it all from your dad?" Said Alex.
"Ok anyway" said Hernandez. "We don't need the patriots vote anyway. Does the LSU agree with the Surgeon General's advice?"
"Yes"
Hernandez asked Lara Lake "Does the Left Party consent?"
"Yes" said Lake.
"Then it's almost unanimous, I will provide secure online access to the Congress with Special computers." said Hernandez.
"I guarantee that the LSU takes health issues very seriously, Madam Chancellor. We offer our unconditional support on anything the experts deem appropriate." said Alex.
As the shutdown began there were mass violations of the shutdown such as protests against it by the far right. Idiots denying science and believing that Khanovirus was a hoax.
However Khanovirus would strike home very soon.
