The sky over Lucknow was an dark in shade. Thunder cracked like a whip, echoing across the desolate landscape, while flashes of lightning illuminated the path in stark, blinding bursts. Heavy rains had turned the city into a flooded maze, making the roads treacherous and nearly impassable. There was no hint of sunlight; only a deep, unsettling darkness covered the city, amplifying the despair that clung to every corner.
As Arnav crossed the Lucknow border, he could feel the weight of the storm pressing down on him. The road stretched ahead like a battered battlefield, littered with fallen trees and broken branches scattered by the relentless gusts. Each tree looked as if it had been torn apart by unseen hands, limbs and trunks sprawled across the road. The usually lively village was empty, devoid of people. Houses lay in ruins, some walls crumbled to dust, others barely standing, windows shattered, and roofs ripped away

Inside Khushi's jeep, the atmosphere was light and carefree, a stark contrast to the approaching storm that none of them anticipated. The team was in high spirits, chitchatting and laughing as they drove down the road toward Lucknow, blissfully unaware of the dark skies gathering ahead.
As Shyam navigated the winding road, he glanced back with a smile. "Alright, guys, we’re about ten minutes away from our destination."
Dhruv’s face lit up with excitement. "Wow, I can’t wait to get there!"
Khushi shot him a teasing look. "Why so eager, Dhruv? You’re acting like you’re more excited than all of us put together. What’s so special about Lucknow?"
Dhruv shrugged with a mischievous grin. "I heard Lucknow girls are beautiful. I might just find myself a pretty one," he said with a playful wink in Khushi’s direction.
Khushi raised an eyebrow. "Oh really, Dhruv? Well, I’ve heard Lucknow men are pretty muscular. You might just find yourself on the receiving end of one of their blows if you’re not careful."
Dhruv scoffed, brushing off her words with a playful huff. But before he could retort, Shyam’s voice cut through their banter.
"Alright, you two, enough," he said, sounding only half-serious. "Remember what the boss said—no mischief. I’m responsible for all of you, and I won’t hesitate to throw you out of this project if anything goes wrong because of your antics."
The team was all about fun and games, but they knew better than to cross Shyam when he was serious. Little did they know, their journey was about to take a turn that would test their camaraderie and courage in ways they hadn’t anticipated. As the jeep crossed the Lucknow border, an unexpected stillness settled over the landscape. The heavy rain that had poured relentlessly for hours now softened to a drizzle before stopping altogether. The dark, foreboding clouds began to disperse, retreating as if they had completed their duty, letting faint beams of sunlight pierce through the thinning mist.
Nature seemed to shift back to calmness, with the sky gradually lightening and the wind quieting. The once-battered trees stood solemnly, dripping with the remnants of the storm but now still, as though in reverence for someone’s arrival. It was as if the land itself was anticipating a significant presence, as if the turbulence had been but a preparation, a curtain raising for what—or who—was to come.
