Revved Deceit :Love in the fast lane

Chapter 8

We get in our cars and drive out of the garage on the road. We drive on the roads looking around for Dom. I look into Deckard’s car and see his hard in thought. I wonder at what. Why does it feel like I wont see him again?  I ask myself.

We see Dom. Deckard and I stay behind to come behind Dom as the rest of the team goes to stop in front of his car. His car comes to a jolt and I and Deckard come behind him. He gives a look to Dom. What is going on? What isn’t he telling me?
Anxiety grows in me and I try put it out of my mind and focusing. Deckard is in a Jaguar F-Type. He cracks his neck and revs his car. “Guys I know why Dom is here. Police scanners are saying he stole a nuclear football.” Ramsey says through the two-way radio. What? What is Cypher doing to Dom?
“It’s over Toretto. Get your ass outta the car.” Hobbs says. Dom revs his car in response. “So that’s how you wanna play this? Let’s play.” Hobbs says.

Dom drives his car and tricks Little Nobody into making an open space. Oh my god. Is this guy even useful? Dom drives away through a flower shop but I drive after him with everyone else following.

Letty catches up and is nearest to Dom. Then as we turn Litte Nobody wants to PIT Dom. But Dom tricks him and poles fall all over his car. We go around the fallen building that wasn’t done being built and carry on following him.

I stay near Deckard and drive. I look into his car and he looks at me. I cant make the look of his face. It’s like somethings going to happen. But what? Anxiety of me never seeing him again hits. What is going on?
Deckard and I drive in from another rode and push our buttons. The line takes Dom’s car and Hobbs tells us to stretch him out. I put my car in reverse and go. Dom’s car barely moves. “His got to have about 2000 horepower in that thing.” Hobbs says. “Try 3000” Tej answers. “Try five.” Deckard and I say at the same time. We keep holding him and I see Letty’s wheel catching fire.

Dom reverses and pulls Roman’s car with him. Then he pushes forward and knocks Roman’s car. Roman reverses and so does Dom and the line pulls Roman’s car forward and upside down. Dom’s door flies off hitting Hobb’s car and the impact makes his car fly back into a traffic light and it turns to the side. Deckard talk through comms to me. “Stay safe for me.” I look at him but he looks away focusing on Dom when he reverses and Tej and Letty’s car smash into each other. Deckard bashes Letty’s car as I bash into his.
Deckard runs out of his car following Dom who took the case and ran. I follow behind them. Suddenly Dom pulls out a gun on Deckard. I gasp. No. He wouldn’t. I’m frozen in place. “Dom No!” I scream. Dom looks at me and Deckard turns slightly. He turns back to face Dom.

“They though this was gonna be a street fight.” Dom says remarking what Deckard had said before. “What you waiting for Toretto?” Deckard asks. Then It happens so fast. Dom shoot Deckard twice and he falls on the floor. Dead. “No!” I scream. Hobbs runs in behind me and pulls me away as police come. “Let me go Luke!” I fight his hold.
Once we are back away from the police, he lets me go. “Deckard…” I whimper. I run to a room and lock the door. I fall to my knees and cry. I cry till I can’t breathe. Till I can’t see straight. Till I pass out.
When I wake up I see Letty. She looks recked. “You okay?” She asks. I nod. I rub my eyes. “Please tell me it wasn’t real. Please tell me he’s still alive.” I beg. Hobbs walks in looking sad. “I’m sorry Kate. His gone.” He says. I gasp. I close my eyes. But the memory re plays. So I open my eyes.
“Letty what happened?” I ask her. She explains to me how after Hobbs and I ran she took the case and ran. Dom followed her but didn’t hurt her. “I knew he wouldn’t because he loves me.” She said. Then she explains how Conner Rhodes. Someone she met while working with Owen. Held a gun to her head but Dom made him stop.

Owen… I wonder if he knows. I think to myself. “ I’m so sorry Letty.” I say to her. She’s my sister and she needs my support. “Everybody is starting to believe his bad Kate. Please I can’t- “Letty.” I hold her shoulders. “I do not believe that Dom is bad. There has to be another reason.” I say. She hugs me and breaks down in my arms. As I hide my pain inside me. All I keep seeing in my head is Dom shooting him and him falling to the floor. I don’t blame Dom. But why shoot Deckard? Something big has to be at stake.
“Kate, I can see you’re not doing well. Maybe you should go on this one.” She says. Is she serious right now? “No, I- I’m fine Letty! I have to be in this one!” I scream. “But you’re not doing so well.” I scoff. ‘Neither are you!” She looks to the side. “Dom and I. It’s different.” She says. I scoff again and walk out.
I know I was rude but I need to help on this one.
