There was a hole in Bright's chest. A big Win-size hole that hurt so badly he could barely concentrate on anything but the emptiness inside of him. When Win suggested Bright to take for his experiment, he never guessed it would be this painful. Or he knew and he just ignored the voice in his head screaming at him to grab whatever Win was offering him because besides that he would never have his best friend any other way. And that came biting him in his butt badly.
They had been fooling around for a long time and doing little things to satisfy each other. However, Bright still kept in check for some things he wasn't sure he must be stealing from Win. For example, a kiss on the lips and full penetration sex. Though it was Win who suggested they should start with a kiss. Bright realized it must be too much to take just for fun so he denied his offer and just stuck on a little fooling of frotting, hand jobs, blow jobs. No matter how much alluring Win's lips looked to him. No matter how much he wanted to push him against a wall and kiss him senseless he couldn't do it. Crossing the line of best friend was the first mistake he made; he should have just denied the offer and gone on with his dating app plan.
So, when he couldn't take it anymore, he did what he was at best. Run and ignore. The classic Bright's move if anyone asks him. He might not have his memory but he knows himself, and running is the first instinct his body clicked when his heart screamed at him that he had fallen for his best friend.
"Are you avoiding me?" and now when Win was standing in front of him hands folded in front of his broad chest poking a hole in his face cornering him in his café's washroom. Bright has to manifest all the power in the world to not jump on him and dip his face in his chest. And why does Win have to keep his three buttons down showing his alluring chest to everyone?
Bright frowned totally lost and the first thing he did was to grab his shirt and button them up. Win looked down and then back at Bright's frowned face and a smug smirk lingered on his lips. He knows his boyfriend inside out, he knows what's going on in his mind but no matter how his brain directs him, his body and heart will always act as a muscle memory.
When Bright said No to kissing and yes to other things, Win was disappointed but he also understood and didn't want to go against his wish, and consent was everything, relation or no relationship, it doesn't matter, Win has a simple policy NO means NO.
Bright was so lost in frowning and buttoning up Win's shirt that he forgot Win had even asked a question. He looked up and that damn smirk. As much as he loved that smirk, he also didn't like when Win teased him.
"You didn't answer me," asked Win once again narrowing his eyebrow with the smirk intact on his lips.
"You are mistaken, why would I avoid you?" said Bright but there was no confidence in that line, and he knew that himself so seeing Win backing him up against the wall, most likely pining him, he gulped. Win kept his hand on the wall putting his face inches apart from Bright's face, his breath dancing on Bright's face and teasing him. But no Win wasn't his, so he tried to put some distance between them by using his hand which landed on Win's chest just above his thrumming heartbeat. And the hand which was supposed to push him back just glued there and Bright had to bite on his inner cheeks to stand on his knees.
"I...I..." Bright tries but nothing comes out at the proximity Win was standing.
"You what Bright?" asked Win in a silent whisper and Bright was scared to move because if he did their lips would touch and that's not fair to Win. Win deserves that kiss from someone who would be his partner, not me who he thinks just as an experiment.
