Season 2 - Chapter 11: Little Beast

They both looked at the girl who seems lost and have awoken. Nanghihina itong bumangon at umupo sa sahig saka sila nagtatakang tinitigan. At ganoon na lamang nadurog ang dibdib ni Talfen sa awang nakikita sa mga mata nito. She's giving him a bit look of sympathy, clemency, and disgust.

And there he bursted out in tears. He don't deserve that mercy. That was the real mercy he received. Ang awa na natatanggap niya noon ay peke, hindi totoo at purong pagpapanggap lamang. The little girl seemed to know his secrets, and she's sorry for his sufferings even if she did nothing wrong.

He was also harassed by his own father in his very own dimension. Araw-araw noong bata pa siya, pinaparusahan siya at pinaparausan ng kanyang sariling Ama. Araw-araw siyang nakakatanggap ng mga pasa, suntok, sipa at pagpapahirap. At gusto niya na lamang mamatay nang mga oras ding iyon.

Those memories flashed in his mind, his painful past that scarred him so much and made him the broken man he is now. Those times when he just wanted to die on his spot receiving a deadly hits and kicks. Those times;

"Papa! 'Wag po! Tama na po!"

"Wala kang kwentang anak! Magpasalamat ka at pinapakitaan pa kita ng awa! Magpasalamat ka at naaawa pa ako sa'yo! Ngayon, luhod!"

"Papa!"

At doon siya nakaranas ng matinding pagpapahirap at pambababoy. Sa murang edad, naranasan niyang maging madumi. At sariling dugo ang may gawa sa kaniya noon.

"Kung hindi dahil sa'yo, hindi mamamatay ang mama mo! Hindi mamamatay ang kapatid mo! Sana ikaw nalang ang namatay!"

Sana nga... sana siya nalang ang namatay noon. Sana siya nalang ang nawala, sana'y ipinutok na lang siya sa unan noon kung ganito lang din naman ang mangyayari sa kaniya. Ngunit nabuhay siya.

His tears fell. Right, kung hindi siya nahuli ng dating nang oras na iyon, hindi mamamatay ang kaniyang Ina at mailalabas ng buhay ang kaniyang kapatid. But he came too late, and all he found from their home is blood and the cadaver of her dead mom with the unborn child in its womb.

Simula noon ay nawala na sa katinuan ang kaniyang Ama, at araw-araw ay sa kaniya naibubuntong ang galit at kalungkutan nito. He mastered his own dimension at a very young age, because it is where he suffers his loneliness alone. And he was never heard, his plea was never heard. The only person who heard him... was the person he brought to his dimension to feel his wrath.

And he feels so sorry for that, for the kid. He doesn't deserve her mercy, that mercy was so pure that he could die from satisfaction that moment. He could die from peace and happiness watching her beautiful eyes. But no, he needs to pay his deeds. Something has changed his perceptions in life and he know that he needs to pay the prize of his idiocy.

Nangako siyang papahirapan niya ang sinumang kakalaban sa kaniya upang maghigant at iyon ang pinakamalaki niyang pagkakamali.

"You're doing all of these because you want others to experience what you had to go through? You don't have to scar others to let them feel what you had been through. Everyone has their own storms already, you're not the only one suffering. You're not alone, you were never alone." She spoke. "Pinili mo na sana ang magprotekta ng iba na huwag nang maranasan ang pinagdaanan mo kaysa iparanas pa sa kanila. You are disgusting."

And with that, he just found himself crying being dragged by the sentries away from that room. Now, he's suffering from what he did to everyone. She was not his first victim, she was the 50th victim and the only one to survive. Everyone in his dimension dies, no one comes out alive. He even comes out half dead, his mind and heart stone cold.

She's right, he's disgusting and he deserves every punishment in the dark dungeon. He should have chosen to protect instead of pursuing vengeance.

"Hindi lang ikaw ang nagdurusa, huwag mo nang parusahan pa ang iba. And yes, we can forgive... but it's never that easy, forgetting and forgiving is never easy. You think what happened to you was unforgivable, and so I too. That's what I think too to what you did to me, disgusting. You did something terrible which is almost unforgivable." The reaction from her face broke, "I will never forget what you did, you're disgusting and it was wrong. By time, I will heal but you'll be receiving your nemesis."

The girl he almost broke gave him a broken smile. But indeed, that was indeed the purest smile he had ever have in his whole broken life. This broken man finally found the answer on how to mend his broken pieces. You cannot fix a broken glass with another broken glass, you cannot fix a broken man by breaking him more. And you cannot fix yourself by breaking others. You can't go on being broken all the way and breaking others as well just because you're broken. Enough breaking, start healing...and live. Ngunit hindi niya iyon pinili at doon siya nagkamali.

It's easy to say you forgive someone, but it's hard to forget so be mindful of your actions and decisions. Huwag magpapadala sa bugso ng damdamin at udyok ng maruming paghihiganti.

He stared at her innocence. She's indeed an ethereal goddess, and she deserves the world. He'll willingly accept the punishment he deserves. He's disgusting for wanting revenge, he's terrible for hurting others instead of protecting the oppressed. Retribution of Nemesis is indeed real. Karma.

"Beryl..." He whispered her name. "Celestial Beryl."

Ganoon na lamang nagulat ang sentries na may hawak sa Professor nang tumumba itong duguan sa sahig. Anong nangyari? Buhay at humihinga pa lamang ito kanina ah. Nalilito ang mga sentry na lumingon sa batang lalaki at batang babae, tinatantya kung sino sa dalawa ang may pakana niyon.

Ngunit bago tuluyang nalagutan ng hininga si Talfen, nakita niya ang lahat. Nakita niya kung paano ipinitik ng batang babae ang kaniyang daliri, at pagkatapos niyon ay sinalubong na s'ya ni kamatayan. She is indeed a goddess, but she can also be the most dangerous and the deadliest villain to ever exist.
