The week flew by as Lauren wrapped up another project at work and Chan wrapped up the work on Stray Kids' new album. She hadn't seen him since her birthday earlier in the week and hanging out with Han and Felix. He hadn't gotten her anything for her birthday but she didn't think too deeply into it. Their relationship was still fresh and gifts weren't important to her.

It was finally Friday and Lauren's phone buzzed from her coffee table. She had been relaxing on the couch, trying to focus on a book, but the moment she saw the name on the screen, she couldn't help but smile.

Chan: Hey, babe. I was thinking... would you want to come by the dorm tonight? The guys are hanging out, and we're just playing some games

Lauren's heart did a little flip. She loved spending time with him and his bandmates—especially after how well the night with Han and Felix had gone—but the idea of being at the dorm again made her feel both excited and a bit nervous. It was still new, this sense of belonging in his world, but she was eager to see him and the others again.

Lauren: I'd love to! What time should I come over?

Chan: Anytime after 7 is perfect. Can't wait to see you ❤️

As the evening approached, Lauren found herself feeling a mix of anticipation and happiness. She took a little extra time getting ready, picking out a casual but cute outfit—jeans, a white crop top, and some sneakers—something comfortable for a low-key night with the guys. Once she was ready, she grabbed her things and headed out.

When she arrived at the dorm, she felt a familiar sense of excitement building inside her. Chan had mentioned that he didn't stay at the dorm full-time anymore, splitting his time between the dorm and his own apartment, but it still felt like this place was a big part of his life, and she was about to step into it again.

She knocked on the door, and after a few seconds, it swung open to reveal Chan, his face lighting up with that smile that always made her heart skip a beat.

"There you are," he said, stepping aside to let her in. He pulled her into a quick hug, his hand resting on the small of her back. "I'm so glad you came."

Lauren smiled up at him, feeling the warmth of his touch as she stepped inside. "Me too," she said softly. She leaned up and have him a sweet kiss and his eyes crinkled in happiness.

As they walked into the living room, the rest of the guys were already there, sprawled out on the couches, with the TV on and game controllers in hand. Felix was the first to notice her, giving her a wide grin.

"Lauren's here!" he said, his deep voice full of energy. "Alright, now the fun can really start."

Han, who was sitting next to Felix, waved at her with a mischievous smile. "Hey, Lauren! You ready to lose at video games?"

Lauren laughed, feeling instantly more at ease. "I think I can hold my own," she teased, glancing over at Chan, who was still standing close to her.

Changbin, who was lounging on the couch, nodded toward the TV. "We're playing some Mario Kart. You in?"

"Definitely," Lauren said, her competitive side kicking in. She took a seat on the couch next to Chan, who handed her a controller with a grin.

As the game started, the room filled with laughter and playful banter. Lauren quickly realized that the guys were intense when it came to Mario Kart—especially Han and Felix, who were determined to outdo each other at every turn. The atmosphere was fun and light, with each race bringing more jokes and good-natured trash talk.

"Come on, Lauren! You can beat Han!" Felix cheered, his voice deep but playful as Lauren's character sped past Han's on the screen.

"Oh no, you don't!" Han yelled, his eyes focused on the screen, but Lauren could hear the laughter in his voice.
