The cold night air bit at Dabi's skin as he stepped out of the decrepit building, his breath visible in the frosty atmosphere. The moon hung low, casting a pale light over the desolate landscape. He pulled his coat tighter around himself, feeling the weight of the recent break-up like a stone in his chest. His eyes scanned the barren surroundings until they landed on Shigaraki, standing alone by the edge of the near cliff.

Dabi hesitated for a moment, unsure if he should approach. But something about the way Shigaraki stood-shoulders slumped, head tilted back as if seeking solace in the stars-compelled him forward. He moved silently, his boots crunching on the gravel with each step.

"Shigaraki," Dabi called out softly, not wanting to startle him.

Shigaraki didn't immediately respond, his eyes remaining fixed on the sky. Dabi approached cautiously, reaching out to place a hand on his former lover's shoulder. The contact seemed to snap Shigaraki out of his reverie. He turned slowly, his eyes hollow and distant.

"What do you want, Dabi?" Shigaraki's voice was flat, devoid of emotion.

"I couldn't sleep," Dabi admitted, dropping his hand. "I saw you out here."

Shigaraki laughed bitterly, but it held no humor. "Of course you did. You always know where I am."

Dabi winced at the harshness in Shigaraki's tone. "We need to talk," he insisted, though he knew how futile it would be.

"There's nothing left to say," Shigaraki replied, turning away. "You know why we broke up."

"Because you decided you aren't gay?" Dabi spat out, unable to keep the frustration from his voice. "That's bullshit, Tomura."

"It doesn't matter what you think. It's done. We're done."

Dabi clenched his fists, fighting the urge to shake some sense into him. "Why are you out here, then? Why now?"

Shigaraki hesitated, his gaze drifting back to the edge of the cliff. "I... I don't know," he mumbled.

Dabi followed his line of sight, his heart pounding in his chest. The realization hit him like a punch to the gut. "Tomura, what are you thinking?"

"Thinking?" Shigaraki echoed, his voice breaking. "I wasn't thinking. I just... I- dont wanna be here...., okay? Isn't that what you wanted to hear?"

Dabi felt the blood drain from his face. "Don't say that."

"Why not?" Shigaraki challenged, tears welling in his eyes. "You hate me anyway, right? So why does it matter?"

"I never hated you!" Dabi shouted, grabbing Shigaraki by the shoulders. "I love you, damn it!"

Shigaraki stared at him, wide-eyed and trembling. "Then why... why did you let me go?"

Dabi's grip tightened, his fingers digging into Shigaraki's flesh. "Because you pushed me away! Because you thought this life was easier without me!"

Shigaraki shook his head, his voice barely above a whisper. "No. It's not easier. It's worse."

Dabi's eyes softened, his rage melting into desperation. "Then come back to me," he pleaded, pulling Shigaraki closer. "Please."

Shigaraki blinked rapidly, trying to clear the blur of tears from his vision. "I can't," he choked out. "I can't be with you."

"Why?" Dabi demanded, his voice cracking. "Because of what you said? Because you think you're not gay?"

Shigaraki nodded mutely, fresh tears spilling down his cheeks. "I don't know who I am anymore. I don't know what I want."

Dabi cupped Shigaraki's face in his hands, forcing him to look up. "You know what you want," he whispered fiercely. "You want to live. You want to be happy. And you can't do that alone."

Shigaraki closed his eyes, leaning into Dabi's touch. "I don't deserve to be happy," he murmured.

"Yes, you do," Dabi insisted, kissing the tear tracks on Shigaraki's cheeks. "We both do."

Shigaraki shuddered, wrapping his arms around Dabi's waist. "Stay with me," he begged, his voice thick with emotion. "Just for tonight."

Dabi hugged him tightly, burying his face in Shigaraki's hair. "I'm not going anywhere," he promised.

They stood there in the cold, holding onto each other as if their lives depended on it. Dabi could feel Shigaraki's heartbeat against his chest, rapid and erratic. He wished he could take away all the pain, all the confusion, but he knew it wouldn't be that simple.

"Come inside," Dabi suggested gently, guiding Shigaraki back towards the building. "You're freezing out here."

Shigaraki nodded weakly, letting Dabi lead him. As they walked, Dabi glanced back at the cliff, still looming ominously in the distance. He shivered, not from the cold, but from the thought of what could have happened if he hadn't come outside when he did.

Inside, the warmth of the building enveloped them, offering a temporary sanctuary from the harsh world outside. Dabi led Shigaraki to a small room, shutting the door behind them. The room was sparsely furnished, containing only a bed and a couple of chairs. It had been their safe haven during their secret relationship, a place where they could forget about everything else and just be together.

Dabi sat Shigaraki down on the bed. "Let me help you," he said softly.

Shigaraki looked up at him, his eyes red and swollen. "How?"

Dabi reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from Shigaraki's face. "Like this," he murmured, leaning in to capture Shigaraki's lips in a deep, searching kiss.

Shigaraki responded hesitantly at first, but soon his body relaxed into Dabi's embrace. Their tongues danced together, rekindling the fire that had once burned so brightly between them. Dabi's hands roamed Shigaraki's back, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.
Breaking the kiss, Dabi pressed his forehead against Shigaraki's. "I missed you," he whispered hoarsely.

"Me too," Shigaraki admitted, his voice trembling.
