Chapter 3 - Restless Morning

Maya

"YE KON HAI" I jumped off the bed when I heard someone scream, turns out it was Arjun who was screaming at me trying to get me awake, I opened my eyes to find his entire family in his room. 

(WHO IS THIS)

I quickly stood up and tried backing away from them when I bumped into his mother, Samaira auntie.

"Maya beta, Tum yaha kaise, Aditi kaha hai?" Tears started streaming down my face as I didn't know what to say, how could I explain it to them?

(How are you here, Where is Aditi)

"Wo-a" I was about to explain before I got cut of by a voice, it was Arjun.

"Mom, what is the meaning of this, I thought I was getting married to the other brat" Brat?, How dare he call my sister a brat, but after what's happened, I don't even know why I'm defending her.

"Arjun, show some respect to their family, we are equally as confused as you but that does give you the right to shout like that" Said his mother. 

She then turned towards me and wiped my tears away and sat me down on the bed and asked me why I was there and where my sister was, I explained everything to her and their entire family was shocked, I told them how my sister ran away and how my parents forced me to be the replacement, Samaira auntie seemed to be the only one who was supporting me at that moment, otherwise, I was all alone.

"Great, so the fucking poor bastards are first there to marry me, and then they switch their daughters, fantastic" said Arjun as he left the room slamming the door

I flinched when the door slammed, the room went silent and tears threatening to spill out of the corner of my eyes when Samaira auntie hugged me to her chest, even arjuns little sister, Saanvi came to comfort me.

"Don't worry beta, we will have breakfast and go and speak to your family, ok?" she said, to which I nodded and closed my eyes while their entire family gave me sympathetic looks.

Timeskip

We reached my parents house after the drive, it was me, samaira auntie, Saanvi, Vihaan who is arjuns younger brother, and Pranav uncle who is arjuns dad, the drive was quite and no one said anything, Vihaan was driving us and I didn't even know where arjun was, he probably left to work or something.

As soon as we arrived, Samaira auntie and Pranav uncle barged into my parents house without even knocking as the door was open, I was following behind with Saanvi while Vihaan went to call my husband - oh I mean arjun ofc.

As soon as I we got inside I heard samaira auntie shouting at my parents.

"How dare you betray us like that, do we look like fools to you Mr. Kumar?" her tone was filled with brims of anger which was beginning to explode on them like a super volcano.

"No ofc not Mrs. Sooryavanshi, you see we didn't want to ruin both of the families reputation in front of media that's why we had to replace maya was Aditi as she ran away, we are sincerely sorry" there it was, my father was begging like a peasant Infront of the Sooryavanshi's, pathetic.

"So you care more about reputation than your own daughter, what kind of father are you" spat Pranav uncle, I was surprised that for the first time in my life, someone was taking my side.

"well-uh-y-you see she should be fine with it she always listens to her mother, isn't that right maya beta" said my mother while I looked away, ever since I was little my mother and father never treated me as equally as my sister, they gave her more love, money, toys, attention and more. Even for my college, I have a part time internship/job to pay the college fee and products to keep my skin clean because they only buy me normal soap while they bought my sister every branded thing, and they even tortured me and beat me if I got bad grades.

"That's enough Mrs. Kumar, we know you forced your daughter into this and we won't let you harm her anymore, she's also my daughter now, she is the daughter of the sooryavanshi's, and I don't wanna see you around her" from that, Samaira auntie held my hand and we all left and drove back home with her hugging me the entire way.

Arjun

This is stupid, this is all stupid. 

If any information about this goes out into the public our family reputation and status is gonna be questioned on, all because of those poor brats, that ugly bitch thought it would be a good idea to run away from getting married to me? 

I'll have to punish her, she doesn't know who she's messing with, messing with Arjun Sooryavanshi means your ticket to hells paradise, but then again, I just got married to an angel, when her brown eyes met mine for the first time, my heart skipped a beat, how can a species look so beautiful as soon as they wake up without any makeup?

I don't wanna be mad at her but I have to, she betrayed me, her entire family betrayed me, she could've said no to her parents or at least came to my family for help, but no, she just obeyed them like a coward.

I was headed for work until my brother little Vihaan called me and told me about how they were going to meet her parents, I knew my parents could handle it so I told him I won't be coming and went straight to work.

I hope she's doing ok..
